I feel so sorry for the children... they have no idea what the real world is like :(! These people are sick. I heard one of the woman on TV the other day say "I don't understand why they are doing this, we live by ourselves and havn't broken any laws" Uh... yeah except the one that say 60 year old men can't have sex with 13 year olds. I hope they can find loving homes for all those children. Those woman are completely warped! And so are the men in control of all there lives.

If you have seen these people or know anything about them, then you would not feel sorry for them. They do not need or want it anyways. They are happy, loving parents, and the kids are well loved and taken care of. No one is forced into anything. It is their world, the ones who want usurp are ones that have no idea what they are yapping about. They do happen to live "normal lives". Just because they aren't hooked up to a Nintendo, does not mean they are not normal. The Dutch do not allow television in their homes, or a lot of what we and our children enjoy, it is not in their homes. It is part of their religion, just as it is the people of Bountiful. I have been in their homes, and they are clean, loving people, and gracious. I have seen them out shopping with their children, the kids are shy, and are quite well aware of what is going on in the real world. They just choose not to indulge in the frivolities that we do. It is their choice. Ask them, I have.

I think the so called good citizens (and I have seen how they operate, and the bad deeds they hide with good deeds, and so called concern for others) should mind their own business. These people have been around for a long time, why bother them now. Your welcome, there are too many people afraid to speak out against this injustice to the rest of tax paying Canadians, for fear of being politically incorrect, or a 'racist'. Well I don't give a crap, the truth hurts some because it makes them take a good long hard look at themselves then they get pissed at learning they are not fooling some. Call me a racist, I have been called worse, it has no effect, why should it, it comes from those that are jealous, I like that, it also ocmes from those who lack anything pertinent to say, so think juvenile insults are going to count. At least the Mormons are looking after their own people. Their communities are clean and respectable. And if those young women and children seized in Texas are hurled out into the mainstream, they're likely to be a lot worse off. Perhaps life is not a bed of roses in a polygamous community, but do we have anything better to offer them? Sleazy bars, drugs, pornography, pollution and a crime-ridden society are hardly much of an improvement.

Right on again Midnite Muse, we agree again. Their communities are clean, and like I said they are not allowed to have what our kids, have, and they do not miss it, or envy our children. They are loved, happy, and healthy. Like we feel about ours. Those who stick their nose in or have negative to say, are ones that know dyck all. About anything.

i think that the main point is that children can be brainwashed into thinking that they really are fine with the status quo, which would be, in that community, it is right and good for a child of 13 to have sex with an old man that is also having sex with other children and women. Just because there aren't other forms of abuse and neglect doesn't take away from the obscenity of this practice. Even if the brainwashing continued and the men involved waited until the person was old enough to make the adult decision, it still would be abuse because there is a whole society that they have conformed to since birth and this just isn't fair. There are all kinds of emotional/psychological pressures that are involved.
