It may be because I'm getting on a bit myself but

I don't think being old should exempt a person from scrutiny for

illegal and immoral behaviour.

I'm no fan of Mulroney or Schreiber, but

I'd be just as much in favour of investigating graft and

influence-peddling if those suspected were people I respected,

and regardless of their ages.

It also amazes me how the media downplays the seriousness of the breach of trust by always saying "there's no evidence that Mulrony influenced any direct decisions on Airbus"

That's true!

So we can say for the pittance that he sold his ethics for, he was generally in Karlheinz's pocket, able to help his pal in many small ways.

And then there are some, those whom I reefer to as Bovine Canadians, feel that this is the way it has always been and that's all right by them.

Except one thing, when the tax-man comes a calling me, I'm going to demand evidence that I am not supporting an organized crime association when I pay my taxes.

I want to know how this country falls under any other classification but Organized crime.

Until I see my ministers of the government, former Prime Ministers, being held to the same laws in the same way as they wish to hold me accountable, when I report a crime they can whistler in the dark for my compliance. Put me in jail... fine by me.... I'll die before I willingly support organized crime even if they wear RCMP uniforms

I say F**k off Revenue Canada. It is my duty as a free citizen of the world to not be pressured into supporting a lawless government which oppresses me for my freedom of choice and endangers the lives of my offspring with its lawless civil servants killing my fellow citizens.

For me and other thinking Canadians, the revolution has begun.......

Unhand Rusty and Jerome, you dastardly CBC varmints.

Just goes to snow you CBC has its dirty hands in everything, overreaching, overbreaching.

Showbiz is an arrogant business to begin with, always with its grip on someone's soul.

My heart bleeds for you Rusty, Jerome, I'll never forget how you guys and I are linked in having been violated by CBC. We are also linked in how all we got was an apology, of sorts.

Question period arrives and the best question of the night is brushed off by

Moderator, Suhana (CBC news anchor) Meharchand

as not being a question.

Eventually The Kid < noted details in the Link below >

takes to the microphone and asks (as cued)

what the City is doing to involve Youth in the process.

Stephen Lewis then does the Unexpected and

asks The Kid what he-himself might suggest the City do on behalf of Youth for the Future of Mississauga.

The Kid, of course, didn't expect this Lewis turn-about,

mumbles something and

then retreats to his seat directly behind me.

Then the smiling countenance of a City rep took over and

beamed at the chance of showcasing Mississauga's commitment to Youth.

She describes how "puzzle pieces" had been sent to schools in Mississauga

so students could participate in this meaningful

and momentous Mississauga-Future-Conversatio n process.

Like, how tres quel wonderful.

Yes. A staged question --I kid you not.

And of course that left me to wonder how many more staged questions were scattered about,

like, well, like that dude who suggested establishing the Hazel McCallion University...

Everything in Canada connected with politics / government is smoke and mirrors.

Why do you think one third of those eligible to vote don't?

They realize that it doesn't make a spit of difference and the cops still get to murder Canaians with impunity.

that is how the corrupt get in all the time "divide and conquer" turning people off to the process means that they6 will need fewer votes to get in.

27 murders in 80 days and the police have no leads to most crimes.

This is success, Mr.Herpes?

Is it back door justice letting crime eradicate itself through murder that is at work here?

The problem with this as a solution is that violent crime becomes the LAW if you let it, by not being able to enforce Canadian laws, Mr. Herpes supporters.

Isn't Prohibition a really effective solution to keeping dangerous people like me from enjoying myself? I mean really?

We can see that this is the appropriate solution the the dangers of the evil weed because when the law was enacted, and for many years after, there was not a single prosecution. These are the facts.

The effectiveness of the Cannabis laws can be directly measured by impact they have had on the actual prohibition of these substances from our society.

Measured this way, using graphs and results of drug enforcement efforts, successful prosecutions, all the statistics available and then assessing the results, one can not come to any other conclusion: Our Prohibition laws have succeeded in directly fostering the exponential growth of the drug industry and violent organized crime. That's a fact with no other established viable possibility.

This has been my claim since the sixties and was reinforced by the Ledain Commission findings, and again by the latest senate findings.

Yet most supporters of Steve Herpes are not aware of those facts.

That is why I think his kind are so dangerous, they shun the facts and feed on lies.

Remember this thread?

Can you wrap your noggins around these tales?

Like all tales, from the biblical to those of evolution, some will be believed by some and discredited by others.

The only value in any tale is in the eye of the beholder, so don't you wonder why a man like Zacardelli hs immunity from prosecution after throwing an election for Harper, while someone like a decorated world war two hero who fought for the freedom of speech in this country is persecuted for a personal opinion he holds about events more than a half century in the past.

The rule of law in Canada? Only for some is it applied with consistency.

Have we changed from our colonial oppressive past yet? Not much, from what I can see.

What would you call an organization that tries to frame you into leaving a member of their club alone after you have been assaulted by them.

When that organization is the police force, fully funded by the government, never held accountable to the same laws it would hold you accountable too, including murder it is the duty of a citizen to do whatever they can without endangering anyone other than themselves to do something about this. Otherwise we would not have the simplest of freedoms, or be able to keep them.

The problem is that there is no rule of law in this country. People have only the barest civil rights in theory until the government squeezes them shut too.

It's all about money to fund a case to uphold your rights. now the government has withdrawn its financial aid for such test cases. Dictatorship by default.

The mighty CBC's website is more boring than topix.com , in my opinion.

Way too structured, controlled, moderated.

There is no room for starting your own thread.

The website is infested by many small minded right-wing posters as are most websites. same old boring vitriol.

This is for Klaus Kaczor. The Canadian Government is not above the laws, what they have are [white liars] that gives the police reason to act, someone out there has to swear out information before police can act, but in law it is called treason if instigated by the government. But according to the Magna Carta supreme British law protecting human rights since 1215 they areare only have there. E.g. suppose there is a long table and both the Crown's represenatives and the House of Parliament sit mingled together, and let now let us break the table in half 12 members of the Crown are sitting on that side of the long table and 12 members of people's represenatives sit on that side of the broken long table, well, without the majority of the Crown or without majority of the people's represenatives there is no agreement and no one's rights are violated, something like that.
