<quoted text>It seems that Dushan,Who if he had only stayed in Bosnia long enough to consolidate his efforts there, could have permanently annexed hiss lost territory of HUM. Because as the news reached him of the Attack upon his southern lands by Cantacuzenus, He broke off from his attempt in Bosnia to hurry up and retake those places. If he had waited until consolidation and victory in Bosnia,He could have taken his leave building an enormous and powerful army on the way to Thessaly first then on to now Thessalonika To start beseiging it ( with his footsoldiers).Leaving those soldiers there (Thessalonika) Dushan would move on gathering more troops to conquer from Philipopolis to Adrianople and all the way down the Maritza R. to the Agean coast. Then building forts up and down the Maritza R and establish a flotilla on the river too. Do you think it would be hard to find sailors for the river fleet and troops to garrison the Maritza Forts? Bulgarians, Albanians , Bosnians and Greeks could operate and maintain that strategy for DUSHAN until he was ready to launch his grand crusade against 1. The TURKS. 2. Capturing Constantinople.

sure you wont handicap understanding and learning to a mere ' I will never know'?

That sets up a block of neverness.

You most certainly can have both knowledge and understanding. Dont deny yourself that.

sense is not in all ways so common.

Ones muse must at first entering the study of history, discern within oneself preconceived notions.

Set aside those concepts and prejudices, put them in a box. Put even what you base your reality upon, in a box. A shoe box. They will be there for you to pick back up afterwards.

And venture into history. Unassumingly. What are the impluses within which find expressions in the life of soul in so many of the worlds peoples? From what source do they originate?

its easy for a serb to say so...apart from ruins of castles, some old churches and stone walls around the country there is very little left for us to turn to....apart from our customs, tradition and language, and wiping off another's country history or destroying it is a weapon which always worked for all sort of invaders be they serbs or turks.

and when were the Serbs invaders upon that which themselves were invaded upon?

there is nothing to be inpart about in the ruins of Castles.
Castles like vassels made of sand
slip into the sea
eventually.

There came to become a test. And no Orthodoxy is ammune to knowing when they are tested upon. Be it by the materialism of the west, or the barbaian hords of the east which all the Yugoslavia has had to contend with.

Whatever the kinetic forces which came to be made manifest, the Serbian peoples stopped the Ottoman Empire in their tracks! Kaput!

You speak of Nationalism in identity. I wish from such a far off place to speak only of the Slovonic stream of peoples. You are one.

Serbia will be strong and big again, you'll see by 2020 Serbia will maximise into greatness to lead whoever would follow - Bulgaria?, Greece, Romania.Ilove Serbia, but I don't hate Bulgaria or Hungary, or Croatia. But I'm sure that these states do not want a strong and nationalistic Serbia.

It would be a prefered aspiration to have Serbia respected and appreciated for its being a good neighbor!

What would they hope to lead, those days are over. The previous srength of the old Yugo army was abused in the name of nationalism and false grandious ideas.

To be part of an EU where borders do not matter and local politics prevail as opposed centralized control would be in keeping with what had once been the diverse beauty of the Balkans with all its regional differences.

And you should also not hate Albanians!!!

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Sagittarius

If you have any worries or problems today, a close colleague could have the answers you seek. Work will be satisfying, and anything to do with children should be very rewarding today. There could be friction with a relative, but it's nothing serious and things will sort themselves out in due course. Again, you must pay attention to your health, Saggitarius: skin infections are a strong possibility at the moment.
