Local newspapers reported on Thursday that Gabriel Almeida was playing in his uncle's backyard in the city of Belo Horizonte when a pit bull named Tita lunged at him and bit him in the left arm.

God not only does the media love to tell "the evil pit bull story" in America but now its gone worldwide. Isnt it amazing that you NEVER hear about any other breed of biting but you EVERY pit bull attack in the entire world. That just does not seem fair at all. AS a owner of a pit bull I offer any writer out there a story about a great, sweet pit bull that has NEVER bit or hurt anyone. Any takers?

You make a good point Amanda. The media in this country has decided to be mind control over all of us. The current political race is a very good example. I've never owned a Pit and doubt I ever will, but I cannot recall reading/hearing so much negative press about any other breed. And, other breeds bite too.

That's just like saying "why does the media always seem to report crimes committed by blacks?". Because they they are the ones committing them! A majority of the dogs that bite are pitbulls. Get used to it. uneducated dirty slums dwellers are raising them, so of course they act more savage. I'm sure your dog is nice and well behaved. It all depends how you raise them. But for some reason, the ghetto dwellers love this breed. And they raise them to growl and anuone who walks by their porch.

But do other breeds kill small kids. We hear about that repeatedly in the press. Some pit bulls are downright ferocious. I don't recall hearing about a dog of another breed attacking and killing a kid. I'm sure if it happened, we'd hear about it.
