For someone who first heard "chega de saudade" at age 14, the concert at the park felt very millenial. I recall still with emotion my very thought: "this is great, it sounds so different". Where is my royalty check? But sensing "a bossa nova" was no great feat. Millions did so and still do, if they hid under a rock for the past half a century. I only wish there was more Jobim on the program. As they say in Brazil: if you cannot hunt with Jobim, Donato will do! And how great he was!
