In 1973 while working as a photographer for NOVA magazine, my editor, Dale Walker asked me to photograph Jigmi Dorji with Bhuitanese archetecture in the background for a NOVA article. Jigmi was a foreign student from Bhutan who, I learned a year later was the son of the King of Bhutan. When I contacted Dale about my discovery he told me I was not informed about Jigmi's royal status out of concerns for Jigmis privacy and security. It was a very well-kept secret only a few were aware of at the time. Fond memories here.
