May 26, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Boston Herald
A Czech government plane's cockpit windshield cracked when Prime Minister Petr Necas was onboard heading for Russia.
This event is common in modern aircraft.
Repeated cycles of pressurization cause fatigue in the many layers of the windshield.
Cracks many appear but the windshield seldom fails completely.
Pilots train for this and many other event at flight safety.
