On the internet under Bahrain directory there is a site www.pcfbahrain.org titled Pakistan-Community Welfare Committee. The homepage say this Forum is developed to cater Pakistan community in Bahrain. Though I am living in Bahrain since 1969 I have first time heard this name. The welfare committees the experience is are at least in our Pakistan case created only for some self personal or political interest and never for community interest. The proof what type of this drawing room Committee is that on its home page Iftikhar Hussain Kazmi is Chairman of the Committee who has left Bahrain since two years. Shaukat Ali Mukadam the Pakistan Embassy Minister is shown Member who has left Bahrain since three years. Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani Pakistan Embassy cultural attaché is shown member who has left Bahrain about 8 months ago. It can well be understood how real this committee is. About 10 years ago a similar Pakistani Education Committee was made in the then Ambassador’s house meeting. The aim of the committee was to make fund for helping poor students in getting education. The first donation then and there made was by Sheikh Mohamed Sajid Chairman of the Pakistan Club. Later no body ever heard any activity of that committee or that fund. The above home page has a bold Heading “Raise Your Voice”. I am raising my voice to know in which drawing room this Committee exists. Is this being run through remote control by those senior office bears who have since years gone for ever from Bahrain.

O.P.F. Board: The Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis has changed five members of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Board for the reason of their inattention, non attending the Board Meetings and their being associated with the political parties. The most of those expelled were residents abroad. It is not merely the OPF Board, we have residents abroad in our Parliament most of whom have big businesses abroad which they do not find fit to shift to Pakistan in which parliament they sit. Like OPF Board, there are also residents abroad Members of Overseas Pakistanis Advisory Council most of whom too are inattentive and non functional. From Bahrain a foreign nationality holding Pakistani born is presently Member in this Council. The Mandate of these Members is to help the Pakistanis working in their area. This Member was picked-up by the Pakistan Embassy. Every one knows in foreign postings what type of merit today is applied. A few years ago two sons of a Secretary level officer were sick the treatment of which was available only in UK. In order that he may get free medical treatment he was posted in Pakistan High Commission in UK and two sick sons were the only merit of him. When such people are posted abroad on such merits, they when needed select people on the similar merit. The only merit of this Member from Bahrain is that like businessmen community he is always a strong yes man. Since his selection one and half year ago, he has never been seen in any community gatherings like 23 March flag hosting, Eid party, 14 August programmes in the community Pakistan Club. On his selection he stated in the press that every Sunday from 01 pm to 02 pm he will sit in Pakistan Embassy to hear people complaints. For the last one year he has not even once sat because three weeks a month he remains out of Bahrain. Dr. Farooq Sattar the Minister for Pakistanis working abroad can get this fact privately verified through any of his party worker working in Bahrain. The Minister may for his interest enquire from the O.P.F as to how many communications/phones monthly the previous Member of the Council then selected by the community through Pakistan Club used to raise with OPF pertaining to Pakistanis problems. Dr. Farooq Sattar is requested to first get the above verified through his own private independent source (not through Embassy) and replace the Member with some community service feelings and does not feel bad smell sitting with the labour.

Pakistan Women Association is holding a charity Dinner for the help of Refugees from Swat (Pakistan). The Dinner will be in a member’s villa surely in elite Budaiya and is expected to be attended by more than 200 people. Though the ticket for the dinner has not been disclosed but it must be BD 10 minimum. Since the dinner, as is as usual with elite class “social workers”, must have at least 5-6 dishes from a high class hotel and with service, delivery must cost at BD 8.000 per person. The persons attending “eating” the luxury Dinner with a variety of cuisine will in fact be sharing the “hunger” of Swati people living in simple tents having hardly even water available. I wonder if those 200 so generously buying tickets, attending after spending much on make up/travel, could not have handed over directly these BD 10s without eating? Surely not because this way how could they show the world through next day photographed session in press. I am a housewife of an ordinary office worker and mother of the children going into buses without AC. I wish to contribute without even giving my name a BD 25 this from month salary and a BD 25/- next month but not through any professional social workers like Pakistan Women Association, Pakistan Club or Embassy but directly. Our first lady wife of Prime Minister this month performed Umra with her 40 friends. She paid all expense of all those with her. Last year our President performed Umra with 240 people on his cost. A newspaper but stated the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh paid hotel expenses. Is Umra more important or through same money helping the hungry Swati displaced children, women and sick more important. The President Asif Zardari has announced giving cash award of BD 26,000 to cricket team. Not a single BD is from his own pocket. Can any one having true knowledge of Islam tell us is in this grave time giving all this money to hungry Swati people better or on Umra or cricket. The elite Pakistani Budiyia group can not perform an real charity work. Each office bearer of women association can so easily donate DN 2000 from their pocket which they never do. The real social worker on women like Ms. Dias or Salma Bala can do who do not restrict their social work merely in Paradise hotels or villas. The real social worker is Less Horton who personal enters in the joint kitchens of poor labourers, smells four different smells of different foods and then truly open his heart. Since he means what he writes, hence it touches hearts of every readers.

On the heading “end my 10 years Misery” a Bahraini businessman has talked against Habib Bank Limited. The businessman Abdulla says his signature on his CPR are in Arabic while on the account opening form are in Urdu/Persian language style. There is no bar one's having his signature on I.D. Card in Arabic and on bank account in Germany language or even in some stylish tippicle drawing. It is a well known facts businessmen and excutive always have different signature for routine business and altogher difference for bank account. He alleges that the bogus account was opened by fraud by one of his Pakistani employees who left Bahrain the “day before” he found out about this bogus account. How interesting the alleged employee left Bahrain only "one day before". What my mind does not accept is why during all these 10 years Abdulla did not file a criminal case with Police in Bahrain against the said having gone employee and issued a legal warrant from the court to bring him from Pakistan? Perhaps it might be that the employee could indicate he on someone's instruction or someone else opened the account. Mr. Abdulla says that the bank had only produced photocopies and not the original account opening documents. In such cases only the true attested copies are produced and not the originals. The originals are produced when photocopies are alleged fabricated. In this case the lawyers have, as the above reading tells, contradicted that signatures were bobus or the form was bogus. The only thing is signature are other than on C.P.R Card and law does not forbid adopting a different style signature for operation of bank account. His Lawyer claimed that the account and the checks (dud) were not of Mr. Abdullah. The dud cheques were issued to parties against any services or materials supplied to the legal company of Mr. Abdulla or to a company having no C.R and whose name account exists. The fact hwoever remains these dud cheques were issued in settlment of dues for the materials supplied. These suppliers and beneficiaries of dud cheques very mysterious is have not been brought into the court case by Mr. Abdulla to verify which company, legal or illega, which place and to whom and on whose verbal or written orders those materials were supplied, who had signed delivery notes against which those dud cheques pertained to.

The Bank is alleged to have sent the original account opening form to its Headquarters in Pakistan which is illegal. The operations of the account are under Bahraini Laws and such record like account holders under the law is to remain here in Bahrain and not transferred elsewhere.

Last but not the least and the most important is the legal case for some mysterious reasons is being made as a Human Rightc ase. Bahrain had a world wide reputation of being centre of the international banking. The international arbitration center is being opened here. By taking a commercial court dispute to the human rights forums what message actually Mr. Fulad wants to convey to international investors?

A few months back the Human Rights Watch Society Director Faiusal Fulad was taking the case of businessman Abdullah and has urged His Majesty the King to intervene in it. He is also considering taking up the case with Intertional Human Rights Groups. The businessman Abdulla is facing court cases for issuing dud checks. He says the bank account opened in the Habib Bank Limited is not his account. He alleges his one Pakistani employee fraudulently opened it. He appears an influential person that is why he could get 3/4th space of two pages G.D.N. letter pages with photograph while people like me do not get even a column space. The reading his story gives very interesting things.

Pakistan International Airline, suffering with acute disease of “financial and indiscipline” and is alive only artificially on the frequent financial injections by the Government from the national exchequer. PIA staff is the real “sons-in-law” of the nation enjoying perks but hardly any sufficient to do. Where as against 130 international standard there is 450 staff per aircraft one can well image how much practical day-load work each of them must have. The PIA Bahrain Office is the only airline office in the whole State of Bahrain which not only gets closed at 05.00 afternoon but in addition also enjoys Saturday afternoons as holiday in addition to full Friday. Since in the Middle East offices and markets work in two shifts morning upto 01.00 pm and then again open 04.00 pm to 08.00 pm hence all airlines like British Airways, Gulf Air, Egypt Airway, Qatar Airway open in the after in conformity of market timing viz 04.00 pm to 07.00 pm. Due to nature of duties it is a well known fact that office working people visit markets and airline office mostly in the evening market hours. Many airlines like Gulf Air, British Airway, Air India etc knowing well that working expatriates since can not afford leaving their work places, hence these airlines even open morning shift on Fridays. But our “national sons-in-laws” since have no care for their countrymen (90% Pakistanis only travel on PIA) hence they are the only one in airlines industry who close 05.00 afternoon for their own family comforts. It is not restricted to PIA, the same is the attitude generally towards public by every government institution. How other countries care the example is of Air India which opens on Friday mornings for the sake of their countrymen service. It is not restricted with Indians airline, even their Embassy realizing that Indians are mostly in labour field where they can not get permission to leave their works, the Indian Embassy has opened a late evening hour section in an Indian Club in the area centre of the capital accessible by Bus just at Rs. 2/- from every corner of the country so this labour could get their passports and other consular service in the evening. Can we think of such a service from our Pakistani Embassy.? Certainly it would be a sheikh chilee dream.

Dr. Zeera can you tell me how started who was behind Bristol Hotel which is the poineer starter of prostitution in Bahrain. Dr. Zeera only a very very very small Shitee section was against Mohamed Sajid Sheikh coming in elections like as only a very very very very very small shitee youth getting funds from Iran creat disturance in the peaceful Bahrain. As you can celebrate Eid or Ramadhan only when it start from Iran likewise you the very very very small shitee are the real trouble makers otherwise generally shitee people are very kind and open from their heart. You played with character of Mohamed Sajid Sheikh, in return your own face got blacked when you become out of elections. The hate creater in the end never succeed.
