Yes, but it is realtively expensive to live in Australia, especially those large cities. I think you are wrong to support lower the minimum wage by proudly saying that people do these things for a lower wage. Some of those lower wages are $9.00 to $20.00 an hour and they're trying to live on that. Pretty disgusting that somebody would come along and try and undercut those poor buggers trying to get by. Think about that.

I do think you are right in generalisations, but remember if it isn't a negative personal experience, all non muslims ever hear or see are stories of violence and anger largely associated with your community.
Maybe if there was feel good stories of muslims who volunteer with SES; firefighting (for example) or at least come out and speak up about unacceptable racism from muslims towards non muslims (and you know that happens!) it would go a long way. After all, I do see letters of support and public figures speaking against discrimination towards muslims. This cuts both ways my friend.

My daughter is 17 and is 'western' and happens to not believe in pre maritial sex. Her choice, not something I insisted or wanted eg, but it's her choice. People make mistakes.That is part and parcel of being human. Even conservative muslim girls. The difference between the west and Islam is that our girls don't need to pretend to be what they are not, but their girls have to patch themselves up with some arcane surgery or be killed for their mistakes.

I wonder how many got slaughtered because their hymens were not intact , not by sex but by other means such as exercise or genetics (some girls were not even born with an intact hymen).

I am sure that proud muslim women , in an event of a divorce, will use our civil courts to gain custody of their children. Thank you. That post supposedly from an 'aussie muslim' really ticked me off, the whole post smacked of a condescending self righteous tone which came across very judgemental and bigoted.

We aren't religious or particularly conservative and the fact of the matter is while I do push for all of my (grown up) children to conduct themselves with dignity and self respect, I really think it is an indvidual choice whether somebody chooses to have pre marital sex.

The fact that my daughter has chosen that path for herself is her indvidual choice and I respect that, but to think that somebody else will label her values merely by the fact she is a non-muslim aussie (and blonde hair, blue eyed one at that) left me quite gobsmacked.

Muslims in Australia have a very high percentage of illiteracy in their own language, the Muslims ( Migrants) in Australia majority would not have seen a school, although their Imam ( that is an Islamic preacher) who in many cases is also Illiterate in his own language, stand up and preaches that the white people in Australia are stupid, and they are here to take over and show the Australian how run their country.
