Has anyone used this? After peoples thoughts on it. Tried the 13quit line, but it's a waste of time. Cheers
I would try Tabex before Champix. Tabex has less side effects.
I got mine at www.tabex.by

Worked for me but after 6 months I started smoking again. Cold turkey is supposed to be most effective and there's a really good book by Alan Carr called The Easy way to Stop Smoking, it worked for a few mates, there's a web site too...

I was a 40 year smoker, was on Champix for 9 weeks but like everyone else had to stop cause of weight gain, shortness of breathe, upset stomach everytime I took the pill. BUT on the bright side....I've been 2 1/2 months smoke free. Does anyone know how long it takes to get out of your system??

yo he empezado hoy la tercera semana tomando Xampix y de momento no he tenido efectos secundarios, pero es verdad que hoy no tengo ganas de fumar, ni tengo mono, estoy muy contenta, es como si no hubiera fumado nunca..

I would recommend cold laser therapy for quitting cigarettes. After 2 sessions of laser therapy I was completely smoke-free and the support that I received from Aculaser Clinic ( http://www.aculaser.com.au/ ) was fantastic and quitting was easier than I ever thought. It is the most effective way to quit smoking compared to other alternative methods available. I had no withdrawal symptoms; and no pain.

Do you all think smoking is the only cause of cancer?

There are plenty of people who smoked throught their lives right up until about 60 years of age and they didnt end up dying of cancer.

Look at all the additives in foods, all the food colourings and other chemicals. Look at how much sugar is in food products. Then theres meat, do think eating red meat alll the time makes you any healthier.

Smoking does cause some cancers but not all of them.

The REAL reason there has been a very well organised war on smoking around the world isnt because politicians care about your health its because people who smoke are not affected by the chemtrails.

They want you to stop smoking so your body can take in the chemicals in the air.

And for the lemmings... no im not joking.

I am not a smoker, having stopped quite some time ago but I have thought for some time that cancers attributed to cigarettes can also be caused by other pollutants - car exhausts pour directly inhale-able chemicals into the air.

LMAO yes, you're serious, kinda sad really.

The "war" on smoking as you put it isn't real well organised at all.
If it was smoking wouldn't be still legal now would it?
Then all these imaginary chemtrails could do their thing.

The war on smoking happened around the world at roughly the same time, something that lemmings like you Orion wouldnt even notice.

I bet you dont know that the same laws have passed in all western countries around the same time. Im talking about laws to do with anti-discrimination, anti-terrorism laws, immigration etc..

It takes a LOT of organisation and behind the scenes work to be able to pull that off but of course to you its all just coincedence.

Like i said months ago you're too far gone mate, you cant be saved.

You never got me with anything.
You came up with some whacko conspiracy because you fail to comprehend the truth.

Anyway, you see chemtrails that don't exist, pot kettle black eh?

NPS advice to health professionals remains as stated in our previous NPS RADAR In Brief article:5
for people with no history of cardiovascular disease who are starting varenicline for smoking cessation, advise that there is information to suggest that the medicine may cause a small increase in their absolute risk of a cardiovascular event.
this small risk needs to be weighed up against the cardiovascular benefits varenicline may provide in assisting them to quit.
consider other smoking-cessation options (e.g. counselling support alone, nicotine replacement therapy) for people with cardiovascular disease who wish to quit smoking.
advise patients to seek medical attention if they experience new or worsening symptoms of cardiovascular disease while taking varenicline.

Report suspected adverse events to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) online or by using the 'Blue Card' distributed three times a year with Australian Prescriber. Serious psychiatric adverse events have been reported in people taking varenicline, with and without a history of psychiatric illness. Advise all patients to stop varenicline and to see a doctor as soon as possible if they experience any unusual or serious change in mood, thinking or behaviour

I'm on my 4th week of Champix, I reviewed the product extensively before pursuing and I found the the good reviews really were five to ten times more than the bad reviews. I've been smoke free for two weeks now and have been fortunate to only experience one side affect, tiredness. Otherwise I feel great and I owe it all to Champix.

I've been taking XChampix for two & a half weeks Inow. I havn't noticed any side effects at all, in fact, thats the problem, I havn't noticed any help in stopping smoking. My daughter stopped with Champix, but she detested the smell of smoke after about a week from starting the course. I'm smoking stronger than ever. The stress levels are pretty high on several fronts, and I was hoping to feel the same as my daughter to help me start, but I think I'll have to go back to ths good old "cold turkey" method (when I'm ready).
Does this mean it's not working for me? Is going off the smell/taste the main assistance it gives you? Shouls I stop or persist on?
Please let us know your thpoughts....Thamk you
