"I don't think she was in the holocaust"

? Since she was born and raised in NY, I guess she probably missed the holocaust.

I'm a white Aussie - if I make a joke about Skips, does it mean that I'm 'anti Australian'? Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock joke about blacks all the time - does it make them 'anti black'? Dummy.

Are you suggesting that picture is of you?
Yes, the pic is/was of me. I have only two pics of me on this computer, the other is of me shirtless and I didnt want to put it up. Sadona, my gf is the one that suggested I put this on up in the first place. I'm glad I didn't, put the other one up, bc of ignorant people saying it wasnt me, prove it was me, etc. I mean, whats wrong with my pic, people are people, geeze.
All other family and self pics are on my gf comp and its a work comp, not online.
So, I changed the pic. Tired of the bs hassles.
Why is it so hard for fat azzes to believe that if you eat right, work out, and take care of your body that in return you will have a decent body?
I'm a health nut, been doing this since I was thirteen years old.

I know what you mean. I've been rubbished about my avatar too. One critic reckoned I'm short, black, and got bad dandruff.

The only reason I put up a personal pic in the first place was , I thought, that it would show people they were talking to a 'real' person. That blew up in my face. LOL
I still dont see what anyone found wrong or offensive about it, it was just a normal pic.

Joan Rivers now Mcfarlane, just proves to the world that Americans elevate the ignorant, offensive and the moronic to star status.....Rivers has always been toxic and will never change, but the fact that the Americans find her funny or her attitude or material acceptable, says more about them as a nation and their acceptance of her bigoted anti semetic comments, than it does about her.

Of course you can make jokes about what you like as long as it isn't offensive or in poor taste, then it is just down right sick....

I have watched Rivers many times and mostly her cracks border on bitchy and snide but to make a joke about the holocaust even if aimed at the Germans does not mean it is not in poor taste and that she couldn't have gone about it a different way....I have seen the yanks get offended when Eddie Izzard made cracks about them not understanding anything about history....there are a lot of things in the world that are funny and don't hurt, this hurt those who were there in the holocaust and they are offended by one of their own treating the deaths of so many in such a flippant way and doing it so openly....Just use some common sense for christ's sake.

Don't tell me that anyone who lost someone in 911 or was around when it happened woudn't find that offensive, yes I certainly do.... some things should be respectfuly sacred and left alone...the Holocause, 911...it has been over seventy years and people are still offended and hurt when they see a swasstika as a tatoo or on a poster or Prince Harry dressing up as hitler, even by their own.

There is nothing wrong or offensive about your pic, just that because it is personal, people can attack and wound you a lot easier than if you put up a pic you didn't care about....grab a brain, you are on Topix, there are no boundaries...so protect yourself.

Joan Rivers is famous for being downright offensive about almost everything. Her comment was actually aimed at the Germans - she even made a joke about her husband's suicide ("My husband killed himself. And it was my fault. We were making love and I took the bag off my head")

So maybe the easily offended should just avoid her.

I don't believe that you can't see the difference about her making things up personally about her husband and herself and using that as ridicule to get a laugh, and people she didn't know men, women and children of her own race being taken against their will, pulled away from each other to be gassed to death, it is and remains a horrific part of our history and noone should forget it, nor should it be used and abused for a laugh regarless of the message....no wonder the world is going down the shit tube.
