100 more murdered by guns since Newtown massacre

There are 2 comments on the www.news.com.au story from Dec 22, 2012, titled 100 more murdered by guns since Newtown massacre. In it, www.news.com.au reports that:

The Huffingtonpost found that 100 more people have been killed by firearms since the Newtown massacre claimed 20 innocent children at the hands of a gun fanatics son. As the calls for change get louder, so far its just talk and no political action.Thousands of ordinary Americans have petitioned the Fed gov to change the gun laws.Others have demonstrated outside the White house. Many Americans are fed up with all the murders and want changes to restrict the easy gun availability in the US, yet on the other side gun fanatics, spearheaded by the NRA oppose any change.
