Is Gillard the least impressive PM since McMahon?

Feb 4, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The Age

WHEN Tony Abbott at the National Press Club invoked academic Robert Manne dismissing Julia Gillard as ''the least impressive prime minister since Billy McMahon'' last week, the Liberal crowd laughed loudly.

Least impressive PM? My ass. Gillard should tell Australians to look at the goddamn economic scoreboard. Dollar up economy up China asskissing wayup. WE ARE GODDAMN rich mates! We travel the world and ANNOY THE GODDAMN SHIT out of everyone we meet.

McMahon? What about that PM Holt. Went for a swim at the beach and never heard from him again. Shark chum. Whitlam? Didn't the Queen say YOUR FIRED. Now thats a loser.

Gillard should hold her head high. However her people, THE AUSTRALIANS, are really the most RACIST IGNORANT ANTIAMERICAN and misogynist people in the western world. Talk about least impressive. Its the Australian people.

Gillard IS the worst PM ever. Liar, hypocrite, spendthrift, clueless, dull, disloyal .... Etc. totally out of her depth. At least McMahon was a very decent squash player. The "new" line, that Gillard has done so much for the Australian economy is crap. Certainly, Rudd before her "might" be more justified in claiming credit than she, and certainly Costello and Howard did all the hard work. Actually the reason the nation is in such relatively good shape is fundamentally the consequence of the hard work of every day Australians. And for Gillard to claim she is the font of our good fortune is disgusting. What Gillard has shown is an irresponsible appetite for burning and wasting our common wealth with silly socialist nonsense. Waste and stupidity is everywhere; BER, NBN, Set top boxes, Carbon Tax, Green Jobs, Pink Batts, Laptops in schools, etc, etc. this PM is beyond hopeless and incompetence. She has given the Prime Minister ship a bad name, has brought the Labour Party to its knees and has exposed Australia to a one dimensional and risky reliance on China. YES, she is definitely the worst ... She needs to go. But then Rudd is only 1% better, so what the nation really needs is that election.

Now for that translated into reality for the average Australian:

NBN by the time it is established it will be obsolete...another failed Labor project poorly thought out and executed, in the end will be another white elephant as more and more people choose wireless.

Australian debt: not bad eh? considering they started with a 160 billion surplus?

RBA rate 4.5% to bad that doesn't equate if banks fail to pass it on to the consumer.

AAA rating: thanks to past government regulations...

Currency up: job losses up, retailers going out of bussiness up
companies taking bussiness's overseas up.

Australia in Asia: Good for mining magnates and a small portion of the comunity and governments, benefits not used to fix hospitals, pay nurses, cops or create more jobs and what about the pensioners? Yep we can all see the benefit from the mining boom...

ICU are a fibber and propagandist. There was a 20 billion dollar surplus which was pathetic considering the libs sold telstra for 80 billion. Interest rates are a full 2% lower now than when howard left regardless of how you try to spin it.

the surplus handed over included NO outstanding debts(ALL DEBTS PAID for the clueless) for that money and a surplus...something which the Labor government has never successfully acheived ever...so rationalise that!

I'm worried about our debt.
saying that its good by comparing it to USAs is stupid.
im also worried about us riding the natural resourse cart so much and not having a second or third industry.
I'm riding the mining bandwagon by buying in up and coming mining towns but it won't last forever and if we are not careful we will be heading the way of America.

I love people like you that are so one party or the other, like it matters really! I didn't get into this to have a pissing contest...I am just stating that anyone can put figures out there but in the end what counts at the polling booth is what people feel and live...and they are doing it tough under this ruling government..and quote all the figures you like it doesn't mean squat...The election will decide that this government under Gillard and Swan is the worst, for the devastating effect that it has had on most tax payers. they have seen huge rises and will continue to do so...in utilities and food and fuel and their general way of life...Aussie's are not happy having to work longer hours than any other country in the world and have this government take more and more of their pay packet...idiots it they don't see this coming...their up coming defeat will surprise noone.

Nice try Ahomana , but I've never been "one party". Not happy with a lot of what this government "are not doing" ( boosting industry jobs, formulating sensible immigration policy etc etc)......my opinion is that, although we need a change in government ,there is no credible alternative. Abbott is walking disaster, and he's the leader FFS !!!.....theres too many Australians get on the "hate Julia train" because they are too lazy to think for themselves. It dissappoints me....But thats Aus politics !..elections are won or lost according to what Rupert puts in the headlines 3 or 4 days before the poll. IMO , immigration should be THE major election issue in the coming election (I hope it is)....and the pollies better start listening to the voters and fixing the problems...

Australia is in REAL big trouble since Pixie Rudd and his cronies came to power - NO border protection policy, come 1, come all is their policy as long as your NOT a white anglo or Christian.

The worst Labour Prime Minsters in my lifetime would have to be in order - Rudd, Gillard, Whitlam, Hawke and Keating.

And we all thought Whitlam was bad enough!

Australia, your finished, thanks to the politicians from all sides of politics, do-gooders, refugee advocates etc I wouldn't give 2 bob for the place now.

A million homes have lower power bills because of insulation. Every school has new facilities including halls which can be hired out for income.
But school halls was not the main reason for this spending - They were economic policies - they were to keep people employed during the GFC. 400,000 jobs, each of them paying tax instead of collecting dole.
What did the Libs ever build? Oh yes flagpoles. Spent 300 billion in their last term and all we ever got was flagpoles.
Ur a pure Lib propagandist mate.
