While this may be true, we should put aside the blame first and work hand in hand in combating this dreaded disease. Educational campaigns targetted for parents will also help. This should also be included in the school program. This disease has become an epidemic and we should fight this in a united manner. For those who are not too familiar with this disease, you may read up on articles on this subject available in http://www.byettalawsuits.us/

No we should NOT put away the blame. People have to use their heads and get off their selfish pedestals and stop creating lives that will have to inherit crappy traits and illnesses. If you are fat, diabetic, high blood pressure, have eye problems or anything that you have to "deal with" take some time and think if your children are going to want to "deal with" the crap you force on them. They have no choice. When you breed someone into an incurable affliction, they have to pay for what YOU did, the rest of their lives. The cost keeps going up!
Think before you create lives!!! Adoption is a great option!

My sister was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 3.
I dont think it had anything to do with the way my parents brought her up,as myself and my 3 other sisters never had it.
We had no family history of it,but saying that it may have not been unrecongnised in other generations.
I find it a bit unfair that someone has put the blame on my parents for her condition.
My sister passed away in 2009 due to complications arising from diabetes.
She had gone through the renal failure with her kidneys and my mother even donated one of hers to her which gave her another couple of years.
But in the end i think she had just had enough.
She was only 42 and i miss her alot.
So for someone to put the blame on my parents really pisses me of.

I am a beliver in vaccines
The people who chose to not vaccinate their children are the ones causing the real issiues.(its child abuse in some form).
Polio was almost wiped out now we see it comming back with other nasty illness.
Because some silly parents dont get their children vaccinated.
I am looking forward to the day when all schools and daycare centres ban any child that hasnt had its vaccination.
And that will be happening soon from what i can understand.

Whilst it's sad about your sister, you need to learn to read, type 1 diabetes has nothing to do with diet, but is mostly hereditary. There is circumstantial evidence which points to the diets and health of the parents at conception, many who have type 1 diabetes, come from families where their diets are high in salts, fats and sugars.

This thread is about type 2 diabetes which is completely preventable and full associated with diet and lifestyle.

If a kid has type 2 diabetes, then it is the parents fault entirely. They estimate with the current diet the majority eats, most young of today will suffer huge health problems in their late 30's and 40's. With mos not surviving the collapse of their organs under the strain if the absolute junk they stuff themselves with.

Nothing like being enslaved to junk food, thinking you're cool, when the reality is it is killing you and shortening your life by decades. You see it every day as they all line up at macca's, kfc and all the other poison outlets, just to get sick. Hilarious stupidity from clones, so funny

I'm ignorant? I'm an RN and I can tell you now that diet DOES contribute to developing diabetes. Just because your sister was never fat does not mean her dietary intake was unhealthy. You are ignorant if you tell yourself lies.

Was it type 1 or 2?

Oh I read above, type 1. That is different, but then you must wonder what diet and outside influences she was subjected to as a fetus.

I cannot understand why anyone would line up to eat that garbage - everyone knows it is rubbish and parents who take their children to those places are irresponsible - all the evidence is there, the way in which those places advertise their products - all hype and you only have to look at the people going in for their 'fix'. I feel sorry for the children but if adults choose to consume that offal - they get what they deserve because it is no secret that stuff is poison.

That's right, but only dumb cloned fools develop type 1 from 2. Once they have type 2, that's it, kidney and other organ failure follows.

One of the biggest problems with diabetes, is the medical profession, they do absolutely nothing to get people on the right track, just dispense drugs and butcher peoples bodies.

They are ideological clones, they believe every bit of advertising, even when they know it's not true. Nothing but cannon fodder for the corporate world and ideological elite.

I agree about the kids, but nothing you can do, whilst the planet is run by morons and the clones keep them in power and at the same time being poisoned and killed off, by those they support.

Pretty hilarious really, then they have the idiocy to deny the facts of their lives and in their programmed insanity, think by denying things, they will go away and not effect them. But the facts are the opposite, yet the propaganda and lies, are more important to them, than reality or fact.

I can't abide advertising of any kind - let alone ads which promote junk food - people see mass advertising as 'entertainment'- I have actually heard people discussing ads as though they are movies - "have you seen that ad where ....'?- unbelievable.
