Southern Spainish,Southern Italians and many Greeks are short for sure as compared to Northerns ,actually North Italians and North Spainish people are pure Nordics with fair blond features and tall stature while southerns are mixed up with Arabs during Ottomon Empire hence Southerns are generally short and Olive skinned to light brown Complexion.

this seems to be the problem with euro societies from the begining. height seems to imply intellegence and bearing. there is no emphasis on true merit. no wonder napoleon and hitler went off the rails!
