How many people actually believe that this woman posing nude will "promote positive body image" for other women?

If anything we have large numbers of girls developing eating disorders and feelings of despair and self-hatred because of the glorification of women like Jennifer Hawkins, by the media.

If media genuinely wanted to promote positive feelings for the majority of ordinary people, then they would place ordinary people in advertising and in mags. and in music videos.

I would love to see our Jennifer NUDE ( full frontal ). It has been a while now that we haven't seen any full frontals of our celibities .

Excerpt from article in SMH

"The shoot could never have happened without Hawkins being "brave enough to say she didn't care about the little lumps and bumps and creases", Ms Frank said, adding more natural photos could only be published if others did the same."

Have to laugh or you would cry.

JH shows tiny 'flaws' in her body and its ground breaking news in the media.

Promote Positive body image? more like enrich JH and those living off her,at the same time countering any negative publicity with the spin she's 'natural'. She is doing women 'a favor'.

The mainstream media will 'promote' what the public wants to hear, for the highest price they can get.
Everything in the mainstream media is designed to reassure us,to maintain the Status Quo, while pretending to be 'edgy' and 'revolutionary'.LOL

BTW, I have found women are the harshest critics of other women's body shapes.
I found out about that ,sitting at the lunch table listening to co- workers

Both men and women are fed stereotypes from the day we are born,as you get older you see it for what it is, and have a good laugh.

When you are young, you take it very seriously.
Peer groups are one of the best examples of conforming to a stereotype, yet pretending to be a 'rebel'

No wonder the mainstream media courts the young so aggressively, they were made for each other.

Yes, she's so "brave" isn't she. I would think her brave for being naked if she WASN'T so close to perfect.

She really represents ordinary women, NOT! She is freakishly tall, has had no babies and she's in her 20s.

It's fine if she wants to pose nude but it is insulting to suggest that she is providing women with a positive image of their own bodies.
