"NSW police have arrested embattled MP Craig Thomson at his electoral office on the state's central coast."

Labour is going down. If we had an election now labour would lose. But gillard will leave office after damaging Australia as much as she could and get away with it. She should be done for treason along with a whole bunch of politicians.

Morgan poll , 30th January 2013.....LNP 50.5%( down 1.5%)........ALP 49.5%(up 1.5%).....if an election was called today it would be too close to call. The arrest of Graig Thomson will drop ALP support slightly , in the next poll , but be shortlived.....People have generally realised that Thomson and HSU has little to do with Gillard.....its interesting to note that Murdoch had a camera crew on the spot to film and fully exploit this event......(lol)....has he phone-tapped police headquarters now , or somethin'?........lol)

I think sadly they wont end up in at a verdict until after the election. I doubt very much he would be re elected now the damage seems to be done. However I think there are a few others with charges against them for various things or there have been few like that in the past whom were able to remain in Parliment and Representing until the case was proven before becoming ineligible to hold office. And he is independent so you cant really suspend him from the Party and replace him either.

I think its a disgrace. I think the Labor Government already did their dash trying to cover up the whole hooker affairs he had, and managed to get rid of any credible witnesses that came forward. It would be good to get a look at the Charge Sheet. Its probably just 150 small incidents of fraud that could be Joined into one case. Seems like no one is bothering checking up on this. And he pleads not guilty to all of them and you have years in court. Then again the police might be able to make one of them stick and the ALP have already decided not to pay his legal fees.

I think this gets Tricky for Thompson. Not even Thales can save him now.

Have you considered that he may be proven innocent , and this is a last desparate bid to squeeze some mileage out of the "dead-horse" smear campaign ?.......(lol)......discount nothing, anything is possible !!!

155 charges. I don't think the Liberals have enough vasaline to smear that much. He will be found guilt of something. Stealing office supplies probably.

I think all I covered in my post was that he has no legal support from the labor party this time so charging him with 150 stealing charges is going to be an expensive affair for him. Even if he is innocent he can only claim reasonable legal costs so its not like he is getting off scott free like he did in the union funds for whores saga.

Maybe this is police corruption like what we saw in Underbelly. Some kind of Lebanese JI affiliated political head hunting eh.

They probably caught him stealing a pen when he was an intern in one of those Honesty Tests HR does to new employees and then just monitored him since then just to try and make a name for themselves. The Prison lobby love this kind of thing though. I reckon they will throw a couple of Abo's out on the street just to make room for him.
