"Tuesday's report argues there's massive potential for large-scale concentrated solar thermal (CST) generation.
"CST uses mirrors to reflect sunlight into a small area to heat fluids or salts and drive steam turbines.""
The real win in this technology is it's availability to everyone, subject to buying the mirrors and access to some space to set the CST device up. It is not possible to monopolise the sunlight even though the Government is trying to move toward a system of taxing harvesting rainwater, not the sunlight.
Moving toward solar power promotes "moving off the grid" and becoming free of the the control of Governments and the their owners the 1%.
Imagine a word where the Government and the Bankers do not rule! the possibilities would be fantastic.
There would have to be a new drive to promote the incentive to produce service and be productive. After all without the need to make money to pay for all necessities then some may think all they need is solar energy and a plot of land to produce fuel.
However, the success of the new economy based on natural renewable resources will be because of cooperation instead of a competitive based economy as cooperation will be more efficient.
