See South Australia have got the big A by BHP. To get involved in any project in South Australia or Tasmania is a nigh-mare for any company. These Labor Gov s put so many hurdles in front of companies. I guess the Chinese or Korean s will pickup the tab and get all the minerals and profits. Thanks South Australia for your grubby Labor Government. Hopefully Holden dumps South Australia and moves to a better environment. Mitsubishi Pulled up stumps in SA, and Bluescope is moving to Qld or WA I believe.

Do you really think this is because of a labor government or more to do with the global climate, if they were making more money out of the minerals they would still be going a head.

"BHP likely to delay olympic dam project because of commodity prices" is a bit different to "BHP have dumped olympic dam project" dont ya think. But I forgive you because you are from Barcelona.

They'll concentrate on there big mines in WA and Qld. If and probably never SA ever get the Libs they may move back.

BHP are going ahead with their $25,000,000 road widening project. Nice of them to do that for the state when they are about to up anchor and leave one of the worlds biggest mineral deposits. Must go for another drive up that way some time seeing as they are going to all that expense for no reason.

So BHP are full on in wa, why would they postpone the outer harbour with a conservative government if they are so good. Maybe has more to do with commodity prices and Marius bad investment in shale

BHP cannot manage a project that size, Ravenwood and moura proved that unless it is already set up or they have partners. Marius is on his last legs due to poor decisions on shale gas and industrial relations

Actually I work for 1 of the big miners in qld. Rio are cutting back at Clermont and look like shutting Blair athol 2 years early and have shut a office in Sydney and sacking Melbourne office staff. BHP have been told to cut 10% and have withdrew jobs of there website but what would I know I'm full of shit

Yes thats been on for a while Rio and BHP moving offices off shore. Still plenty of work in Qld. You can blame your unions for the problems at Clermont, and Unions are playing up at Blair Athol too. Thats one of the reason Gina Rinehart is importing workers. If the mines close blame your unions.

Unions at Rio? They are sacking staff not production. Might have more to do with thermal coal prices but your like Bev you know it all.

Mate just get your lazy arse into gear and get back to work. The days of Unions are over. Rio and BHP are sick to death of you blokes thats why they are running dead. The Labor Grub Gov in Qld is gone and The Fed Labor Grub Gov's gonna get wiped out completely next election so things are about to change. Mate if its not u blokes in the cfmeu trying stand over tatics with these companies its the dills at the ports running dead. It gonna be like Germany soon just a few blokes sitting at computer driving all this equipment- trucks and all-NO MAN POWER ANYMORE. UNIONS ARE DEAD. Union membership is like the titanic.
