You need reformers in your country to make punishments less harsh for drug crimes at least. your punishments are excessive for many crimes and belong in the 18th century not 2010. But it will only likely happen in indonesia with indonesian reformers and in malaysia with malaysian reformers and in singapore with singaporean reformers.

Are you not aware of natural law or Gods natural law?
Gods natural law gives free adult human access to every plant that grows in the ground including the opium plant the marijuana plant and the coca plant. it took repressive humans and exageration to outlaw these plants. If humans followed Gods natural law all these plants would be fully legal for adult humans to use without governmnet or police prosecution.

Also centuries ago these drugs were legal across the world
opium , and marijuana was legal in asia for centuries
coca was legally used in the americas for centuries before the modern era outlawed its use.

Even in indonesia centuries ago these drugs were legal

Nop, as I understand it there we're considerable mitigating circumstances surrounding Scott's involvement in all this, as a result of that I don't believe he should receive such a severe punishment!

I don't think he deserves life in gaol either!

I'm also critical of schapelle Corby getting 20 years when there was considerable grey area in her case. I don't like any of this stuff, read a book called "the damage done" by Warren Fellowes, see how an underworld maggot coerces/threatens an up & coming footballer to act as a drug runner to Thailand back in the seventies. Completely ruins his life, & the man who set it up (Neddy Smith) never faced any punishment for it!

They're the bastards who should be spending their lives in gaol!

Also, if you're considering making a few grand smuggling a bit of hash into an Asian country....READ THAT BOOK BEFORE YOU GO!

My mates girl friend is a law student & I debate these issues with her quite often, people can have highly polarised views on these laws, at the end of the day (It's a religious thing as far as I'm concerned) I don't believe human beings have the right to say who lives & dies!

DON'T KILL SCOTT RUSH!

No I speak the truth

marijuana has been used for a long time in muslim societies as well as opium. hashish from the marijuana plant is well known and used in the Arab world and turkey.
opium was once offered to guests in pakistan and used on celebratory days
marijuana is still used today in indian religous ceremonies and grows wild in the north of india

look at this web site which shows many of the products that were legally produced that contained cocaine and opium. this was legally available in europe and the usa for many years

If ALL drugs were legalized world wide and sold through government run clinics, along with a mandatory councilling secession,
This would create a more desirable society ,first the perceived GLAMOR would go , then the Gangsters would go followed by a huge drop in the crime rate.
Big amounts of ill-gotten money creates powerful outlaw warlords, who use this money and violence to corrupt ordinary people and elected representatives.Mexico is a prime example.

The lure of easy money has a very strong appeal.

Don't hang the Mules.

In bangladesh another muslim society marijuana possesion and use is legal today.
its also legal in spain, denmark and portugal in small amounts.
medical marijuana is legal in some western US states
marijuana is decriminalized in small amounts in south australia, northern territory and western australia currently has a bill that would legalize possesion of 30 grams

No drug dealer should be executed that is barbaric and unjust. south east asia has the harshest outdated punishments for drug dealers and traffickers in the world. They should reform there laws and make them more civilized and abolish the death penalty for all drug crimes.

governments would make alot of money if they fully legalized current "illicit drugs" by taxing the growers or users, instead they waste millions on prohibition, create a repressive society and imprison innocent people.

Its notable that the most advanced countries socially in europe are denmark and the iberian peninsula of spain and portugal who have more sense and have decriminalised these drugs for personal use.
