A Melbourne man has been jailed for at least five-and-a-half years for having a sexual relationship with his daughter, on the pretext of sex education.
In sentencing the 44-year-old man, a Victorian County Court judge said the case was unusual and distressing.
The man pleaded guilty to incest after having a three-year sexual relationship with his daughter.
She was 14 when the abuse began.
He also pleaded guilty to producing and possessing child pornography featuring his daughter.
The court heard the teenager asked her father for guidance when she started dating a 15-year-old boy, but he started a sexual relationship with her under the guise of sex education.
She eventually told a friend who reported it to her school.
Police seized a computer hard drive containing 1,094 pornographic images and a video from the house.

According to Australian bureau of Statistics, Child sex abuse and Paedophilia worst in Australia, 1 in 3 girls are sexually abused and 1 in 7 boys!!

Man 'raped daughter daily for 30 years; fathered four kids'
A VICTORIAN man who allegedly raped his daughter almost daily for 30 years, kept her a virtual prisoner and fathered her four children has been charged by police.
In what has been described as a case as shocking as the Josef Fritzl case in Austria, child welfare advocates have called for a full inquiry amid claims authorities failed to investigate the alleged abuse despite being warned decades ago.
One source close to the case claimed it could be "every bit as bad, if not worse, than the Josef Fritzl case.
"Especially the fact that she had so many children to her father".
Neighbours of the family said they had suspicions of abuse, but did not go to the authorities because they did not want to cause trouble.
The victim's mother claims to have been unaware of any abuse, despite sharing a house with her daughter, husband and grandchildren until 2005.

Father, 39, jailed for raping 12-year-old daughter blames act on stress caused by quitting smoking
The Courier-Mail August 02, 2012

Prosecutor Shauna Rankin said the father, when questioned by the mother, tried to claim his attempts to give up smoking had left him feeling "woolly'' in the head, but admitted he might have overstepped the mark when he molested his daughter.
Solicitor Tim Meehan, for the dad, said his client's "30-seconds of madness'' was a "one-off, one instance offence'' and unlikely to ever be repeated.
"(My client is) a loving, caring and generous father,'' Mr Meehan said.
The father, from Brisbane's northside, was today jailed for 2 1/2 years, suspended once he has served 10 months in jail, after pleading guilty to one count of rape

Mother jailed for sexually abusing her own children
Posted Thu Apr 12, 2012 4:02pm AEST

The 31-year-old was today sentenced to a maximum 18 years in jail, with non-parole period of 13 years.

She, along with her 51 year old husband and another man were arrested in November 2010, and admitted to a series of charges relating to the systematic sexual abuse of the couple's son and daughter, aged 12 and 11.

The trio dominated an international network of parents who carried out depraved sex acts on their children, often streaming them live on the internet.

Gosford District Court heard how the woman encouraged other parents within the paedophile ring to abuse their own children.

Judge Ellis said this showed a casual attitude towards her children's abuse.

He said 'defiling her son and daughter demonstrated an unfathomable level of depravity' which was 'impossible to grasp'.

The court was told she was 'oblivious to her role as a mother, and oblivious to the needs of her children'.

Judge Ellis told the court the 31 year old was sexually abused as a child by her own family members, and has since expressed a wish to be punished for the sake of her children.

He said she was groomed by her husband but was an active and willing participant to the abuse.

Karen Lindley, spokeswoman for the child advocacy group, Bravehearts, says there are many lessons to be learned from the case.

It's far too common in every country, and judges in every country seem to view raping children as little worse than jay walking.
Some countries even punish the victims.

It's surprising that these perpetrators got the sentences they did, for paedophilia only attracts an average sentence of just over 3 years, with many able to walk straight out from the courtroom.

Do not think this is just in Australia.

In all countries where there is more freedom, and less religion and godfear, pedophilia and incest are rising and rising sharply.

And it will keep rising, till entire populations are deformed, cripples and retards. Only then perhaps we will learn our lessen again, for it is a very old lesson indeed. And a long painful lesson that will be, for recovery will be very slow beyond a point.

Everyone has a pedo/incest potential. It may be zero, but non zero for most, however low it may be. The wise of yesteryear knew this well. So they took adequate measures. Measures stronger than the pedo urges of most men. But the old guards now lie fallen.
-=-=-=-=-=
So WHAT'S YOUR PEDO POTENTIAL? Be sincere now. As you answer 'ZERO' do you feel something move deep down inside? Something primal and beyond your control?

The best weapon against a pedo/incest is your awareness of the potential pedo/incestor in you. There may not be a god anymore but there still is love, and good logic and your intellect. They are our strongest guardian angels against evil. Both of which still exist beyond god's demise. These weapons are way stronger than any of our physical urges or any helper gods of the past. These powerful weapons will always be with you. You only have to call them up, and USE THEM.

But remember - Anger and Fear will make things hazy, and violence will make things much worse. And those weapons will misfire and your aim will go weary. If you can find them at all. Only calm clear minds can connect with our final guardian angels. MAY THE ODDS/gods FAVOR YOU

With this in mind - What is the difference between "discipline" & "control"?

I think imperfections in language are a significant reason for many of humanities woes. Most words in English are vague(unclear), ambiguous, inconsistent, may have different meanings in different contexts. Most Human Languages are far from rationalized or canonical.
`
In a rationalized language
1 All words must be well defined words, with the definition in turn using only other well defined words. A word's definition must never use the word being defined
`
2 Every word must have a unique definition (meaning)(regardless of usage/context)(A word must have only one definition/meaning). The meaning of a word CAN NOT vary under any circumstance. SO what that word means for one will also mean exactly same for everybody else without any variation however slight. Corollary- to express even a slight variation of an existing definition, a different / new word must be used/formed
`
3 Optional- Every definition must have only one word associated with it (no two words can have the same meaning, ie no synonyms allowed). I say this as optional as this will render poetry and song a lot more difficult though rhyme be still possible. This rule is debatable as an argument for or against- redundancy and/versus efficiency
`
Irrational (imperfect?/rough) languages can be misused knowingly and unknowingly and cause an otherwise simple problem appear complicated.
`
Computer (formal) languages are examples of rational languages. The only rationalized human language IS Sanskrit.(refer Pre-Panini and Panini's rules of language) The above are Pre-Panini rules used by vedic schools like sankhya(compute/count) mimansha(Inquiry/seek) yoga(JOIN info to create logic chains called Sutra/thread) and Nayaya(logics)
`
Errors and omissions are very possible in my post, feel free to correct, if reader cares

==========

So your question is really a result of the irrational nature of English. The word 'discipline' may mean-'a code of behavior to be FOLLOWED' as well as 'a code of behavior to be IMPOSED'
`
The second variation fits the definition of CONTROL too. Whereas the first is clearly different. And all due to varying just one little word,(follow/impose) which themselves can be used interchangeably!
`
Hence the use of 'to discipline someone' is way different from 'to be disciplined' and certainly even further from 'the disciplines of'
`
The effect (of misuse) is huge here as it results in the loss of autonomy (freedom?) when used as control which we all hold so dear. Further, one could just as well use 'code of conduct' and leave the follow/impose part unsaid and thus ambiguous.
`
One may use the terms 'self discipline'/'self control' to prevent such ambiguity. COGNITION/reason/research is most important HERE while framing the code of conduct, be it a personal code, a code specific to a situation, or a general common code for society.
`
Lack of rational rules of language is just as significant as not having rules of society. Rough languages are very open to misuse in written law, by leaders / politicians, con/sales men, teenagers, just about anybody that wants to lie/deceive.
`
I wish to launch the idea of working towards rationalizing existing languages. Perhaps even one day we'll all come together to make another SANSKRIT like language (rationalized combination of many PRAKRIT / PALI) drawing from all prevalent human languages of today- a RATIONALIZED EARTH STANDARD LANGUAGE!

Sanskrit script Devnagri has highly rationalized phonetic rules too 1. Every symbol has a unique phoneme(smallest separately utterable sound) associated with it. 2. All human phonemes are represented. 3. No phoneme has more than 1 symbol associated with it..

I see lots of Australian having sex with their daughters, is it a cultural thing in Anglo Saxon_cult
There are so many girls who are having consensual sex with their family members and nobody knows about it, because, the story remain within the confines of the bedroom, its only when Children are abused and somebody makes complaints than only its revealed.

There are far less mothers who are having sex with their sons, in comparison to father-daughter relationship, which is going to be legal just like homosexual marriages in few years, maybe, the trend is catching up!! LOL

Not sure if this is a step forward or backward but I saw on the news that sexual predators who are jailed will have their profile on the internet.

A couple of hundred years ago some cold cases were not filed or recorded even births.
