What a knobjockey.

1st he farcked up the MRRT and will leave a revenue shortfall of $6b over 4 years. Now the Carbon Tax has at least a $4b shortfall due in 2015 and $5b in 2016 due to our CT being aligned to Europes which is currently trading below $6/t. Bill Shorten & Greg Combet are sharpening their knives for his blood. Rudd wanted to replace Swan with Gillard & he only kept his job by supporting her coup.

This years "surplus" will be around a $18b deficit (afr).

He is stealing future dividends (assuming they make any) from Medicare & Australia Post to prop up this years budget.

Swan guarantees all promises (ndis, gonski etc) will be fully funded - how without borrowing more money?

And now Swan wants to raise tax's to help cover the shortfall.

And this is what a worlds best treasurer can do.

And people vote Labor why?

There is no "New World Order", it is instead a psychological operation through grey propaganda, meant to make you discredit yourself in trying to prove a phantom menace, when in reality it is Government using a sock puppet, to distract people, easily.

Thankyou

Do you have any link , with a few hard facts to view Chefboy , or is it really just pick-on-Swan Thursday ?...(lol).....hey , last year the MRRT was supposedly going to completely root up the whole mining industry in one foul swoop !....(lol)...the fact is , big profits kick back in when commodity prices rise and demand rises again. The MRRT would have made a substantial profit if Abbott didn't oppose it , hand in hand with the big mining corporations , as you well know , but conveniently ignore....(lol)....these mining companies are taking a free ride and everyones expense....wake up and realise it FFS........it's these mining companies that have pocketed the surplus , and if Abbott had any balls at all he would be on Australia's side instead of cowtowing and sucking up to these corporate bloodsuckers !

Mining corporations exist solely for the purpose of making mega-profits at any cost. They are the world champions of screwing every skerrick of bottom-line profit they can , and do not tolerate anyone getting in their way. If they could fly in 10,000 workers ,and pay them $20 a day they would do it in a heartbeat....if they could find a way to abolish every dollar of tax and royalty they pay , they would not hesitate to do that.Miners on the ground work hard and earn their money , but it's about time Australia made sure the companies that employ them payed due compensation to the people who own the raw materials that they are flogging all over the world for such vast amounts of money.......

Abbott and the Liberal Party should have full-on supported the first proposal for the MRRT...why didn't they ?....easy answer = Australia would have become the the most secure economy on Planet Earth , exceeding Brunai and other small resource rich countries.....and the Liberal Party would have been shattered....so where did all the profits go?....easy answer again = to the mining companies.........when will you rightwing supporting idiotas face the real truth ?........

All in the news today Foo.

Foo I'll keep saying take money out of the economy & you farck it. And Labor keep taking taking taking. They have no idea what their doing. They are now planning to tax super when you retire at an income level. Not even you think that's a good idea.

The MRRT is poorly written. The deal on the MRRT allowed the companies to value their assets at their market worth, rather than historic worth, and depreciate them over the effective mine life. They & the Greens are blaming the states but the MRRT was designed by Swan to tax companies after they paid state royalties - pretty dumb. And again swan ignored Treasury & came up with his own figures - he undervalued mines assets by billions to show a higher tax return. All this has nothing to do with Abbott or Aliens. Swan cowtailed to mining & showing his hatred of Rudd by not implementing Rudds PRRT - which taxed irrespective of royalties & tax could only be reduced based on $$$ investments.

That's incorrect , unless this is todays news......its been looked , the same as every other part of the budget , to identify any savings that could be made , but super was definately not a possibility.........a link ? or is this another wild goose story ?(there are many......(lol)......)

It's all to late now and this will sound pretty simplistic but why did MRRT have to be negotiated with mining companies at all, the government supposedly runs the country. The government should work out what tax mining companies shall pay, inform them of the amount and prosecute them if they don't pay, who runs this fucking country.

You may be correct in detail Chefboy , but that's extremely misleading and mischevious !....If Abbott and the Liberals would have backed Rudd in the first place to pass the ORIGINAL MRRT , its all academic , isn't it.....Abbott put his own personal ambitions , and the interests of his party, treacherously ahead of this countries interest and every Australian should be made well aware of the ongoing impications of that slimey decision....and this immoral prick would be Prime Minister of Australia ?......geezus kriste ! are you serious? he actually gave a chunk of our future to these bloodsuckers !

Not only governments !....corporations salivate ,as well , salivate to the point of heart attack at the thought of $billions of cash laying around that they can't get their hands on.....(lol)......I have no doubt , that they have 1000s of corporate law experts working 24/7 to find a way to get their stinking hands on it any way they can........(lol)......but , the super system is transparent , and if tax changes were made , we would know about it very quickly.....it's like typical liberal election bullshit to me.....the super is safe.
