Hey, Im cabin crew for a company which brings them in from christmas island- the escorts told me it costs 20,000 to process just 1 refugee and then if they have been granted a visa they get 60K for the first 3 yrs..... These detention centres are like a 5 star hotel. The people coming in are men in there late 40's and wouldn't have much of a working life in front of them. However in saying that they are very polite people and some not many are people that are nice family's that look like they are genuine people with nothing, however they have alot to offer to our contry. The amount of money the government is paying out for these people makes me sick, I do believe they should not be processed on the main land and should be processed and sent from Christmas Island to there contrys of origin. I really think this new government is to blame with the amount of imigrants and as soon as elections are out, Im definately not voating for this Rudd government!!! But please don't blame these people as they have come from lifes where they have nothing, its not there fault for wishing for a better life....wouldn't you???
