Neither side is of any good to Ausi, China has got more power to control Ausi, while India on the other hand is an american puppet.

All in all China is controlling the world, there is nothing nobody can do about it. Africa as a continent is under Chinese control, same with Ausi.

If you bloke aussies are not careful then soon you'll be unemployed while the Chinese & Indians shall be working while you sit at home receiving unemployment benefits.

They'll take your jobs, houses, ausi dreams and lifestyle. while you start living the ABO life - haha

White aussies are the next abos, lets just start calling them white abos.

We'd rather the U.S, hope your economy starts rolling again and you get a president with the sense to clean up your immigration woes.

If and when the U.S. comes out of the recession there should be some major cuts in our armed forces.

We may not be patrolling Aussie waters.
So you blokes might have to go at it alone.

As for immigration thats not the problem, its greedy banks corporation and govt...

Hunkering down, old boy ? Removing ourselves from the world ? Weakness is provocative. That will be the end.

Don't be such an antagonistic sod, Mex. You started this thread BS.)) USA has more (fake) goodwill (love of $$) invested in China than Australia has (for the same reasons). The West just trades with China. We, the USA, lead the pack. It's all business. USA is Australia's largest investor for goodness sakes.

I believe it was we Americans that discouraged quite capable Australia from it's nuclear weapons' program in the 1960s. So, don't get too sh#tty about deployments.))

Anyway, unless you know something that CENTCOM doesn't, we will be operating a joint Aussie-USA military base in Darwin soon. That, added to our already robust alliance and other shared facilities.

How about USA not selling it's soul ? Or, let's say, offshoring it's manufacturing soul to China ? As I said before, we Americans have taken the lead of selling out our future prosperity to China. To make big business happy.

I like Chinese and Indian people. You are right though, stronger ties between democratic beacons India, USA and Australia is a good thing.

There is a huge myth here that I like to destroy.

Myth: US is a big investor in China's economy.
Fact: US rank a distance 5th behind Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Singapore.
China is a net exporter of capital to the US. Without China's support US is no different from Greece.
The biggest factor contributing to the survival of US auto industry is China's car market without which the big 3 would have gone belly up.
Stop bragging about US contribution to China's economy.

As far as maintaining the Australian prosperity, China is far more important and either USA or India.

The only problem is Australians are uncomfortable with non-Europeans playing a leading role at the world stage. I guess they will get used to it.
China hate to play any role at the world stage unless forced to. If India were in the same position they would love it.

US is trying to tell Australia that China is a threat blah blah blah. I notice that white people trust each other better and moreover they have long tradition of fighting wars, so, this kind of advise from USA goes down well with the Australians. I don't know how much money the arm merchants have invested in the Aussie politicians and media.
The Lowy Institute keep throwing up "China threat" theme every other month. From experience these so call "think tank" often take money from arm merchants.

USA has dropped to 4th place in term of trade with Malaysia in 2010.
The top 3 places were China, Singapore and Japan. USA used to occupy the top spot 10 years ago. This pattern is seen through out Asia.

The difference is there is no physical amount of prosperity coming out of the U.S. to China like the minerals are coming out of Australia.
The scary thing for China is they get a sloppy IOU from the U.S. nothing tangible.

And the political climate in the U.S. leading towards someone like a Ron Paul in the near future. And he would close most bases around the world. We shall see where OZ stands in the future, they may need a bigger budget for defense and navy if the U.S. plans to cut down the defense around the world.

India historically has not been a empirical state like China, has and is.

China has learned to take over through investing not through war.
This is from the think tanks not from the people of China. Oz Africa etc.. are chess pieces for China right now.

The way you're talking, Mex, is that you yearn for the near-future political climate you describe, for USA to get check-mated.

May as well pull back from Hawaii too. Too far and all that expensive navy to maintain. Besides, we've got a couple of big chunks of land in North America (all the other states). Let's hunker down. Be happy with what we've got. Besides, it was good run being the richest world power in history. Ah, later half of the 20th Century - happy memories. ;)

Hell lets attack China right now let them know we will be the biggest most powerful richest country for another 50 years...
Anyway you look at it if Aussies dont mind China in there backyard digging up there resources what are we doing spending billions protecting there borders?

Australia isnt the 51st U.S. state they are there own nation like Israel England etc...

Back to topic I think India will prove a better ally than the Chinese.
