I rather see these islands and islets in the hands of the Chinese otherwise they will run rampant with pirates and lawlessness.

What China is doing to Japan now will be the future of what China to do against Russia. China will use the same ancient history claim to take a lot of lands back from Russia.
Make no mistake, Russia knows it. It's pretty obvious to everyone. Basically, China is causing so many conflicts against the neighbor countries.
Australia is not that far off. If China claims Australia continent as part of Zheng He's voyages, how can the 24 million Australians defend themselves against the 1.4 billion Chinese?
because we australians are some of the bloody best fighters in history and we will fight for our land

Abe insist that there is no territorial dispute with China and Taiwan vis a vis Diauyu/Tiauyutai/Senkakus.

If so then why not develop the islands and station troops there like what South Korea did in Dokdo!

Or Abe should do what Pres. Lee did and land in one of the isles via helicopter!

Abe and Japan not being able to do this means to the world that there is indeed a territorial dispute and that Japan is the guilty party just like in Dokdo!

Japan's denying this dispute is way too typical just like their denying that the Comfort Women were victims, there insisting that the Nanjing massacre is a fake, that their nuclear power stations are safe!

Bad habits die hard!

every leader knows diaoyu belongs to china including the japanese govt. everybody is watching/ judging china handling the diaoyu island.

american is moving its pawns, how china going to counter american move? if china is to be the top dog in asia pacific, china will have to secure diaoyu firmly within the prc map.

There is so much stupid in this that its hard to figure out where to begin.
1. You say that America shouldn't get involved but Im guessing you are in the US and you are shelling out ur feelings. If you say America shouldn't get involed, then you should shutup as well to because ur opinion means as much as Americans. Plus, did you forget that the US and Japan have a treaty where if Japan gets in trouble, the Us would come and help? As a result, Japan's army had to downsize? America is in it, so you better hope China doesn't do anything stupid.
2. Japan wasn't unreasonable. The inhabitants of the islands wanted to sell to Japan and they did and Japan bought the island. You are just butthurt because the people living on those islands didn't sell to China. Whoever owns that property, gets to choose who they get to sell it to.
3. If China didn't want to start another war, they should send this to the world court and get this sorted out. If they dont want to, thats their problem, but the blame is squarely on China if they did start another war, because it has been all China in provoking Japan, doing what they know they shouldn't.
4. I do agree with you though. Japan is showing that they are more mature than China by a long shot. Democracy helps. This case is showing how uneducated China is about the history of the world and how China thinks they can do anything they want to anyone and not think anyone would do anything about it. THey are getting bit in the ass.

Japan is the biggest worry. Pacifist on the outside, agressive on the inside. small country try to play big role.

Armed with a PH.D from a very prestigious US University and experience as a State Dept. top guy, Taiwan have embraced me with more than an open arm.
Not only did a prestigious university aggressively
recruited me for a job, I's also blessed to have a beautiful and rich Taiwanese lady from Lugang as a wife.
Now we are blessed with a smart handsome boy and a wise beautiful girl, thanks to my super DNA!
Since I choose to bring my talents here I am now a celebrity superstar with by being a professor , blog, biking and TV show!
But I still insist even when no one is asking me that the Senkakus belongs to Japan!

Why can't these d-mn s-tpid locals listen to me?
