There is no way India to intervene and confront with China in the sea.
In the last 500 years, India never had any influence on SEA politic. It only involved in cultural aspect and trade.
It's the attempt by the west to create a (fake) confrontation between the 2 giants.
But I don't think both India and China will be stupid to fall into that trap.
India has a very strong naval fleet and navy.

The confrontation between India and China is only on paper for the moment. But with both nations vying for superiority in Asia, it may one day become a full scale war.

China has been clever enough to build ports all over asia and africa, as well as launching satelites and putting other Asian countries in debt to it.

China is the front runner, but India has American backing in an attempt to counter Chinese expansion.

China has long term world domination in its sights. Whereas India just wants to get rich quickly
