Sep 6, 2010 Full story: Today's Zaman 835

Hundreds of Afghans railed against the United States and called for President Barack Obama's death at a rally in the capital Monday to denounce an American church's plans to burn the Islamic holy book on 9/11. this just MIGHT be an example to all those loons (ala mr bill, responsibility, platterpoop), of WHY there is a consensus of fear, mistrust and dislike towards muslims in the west...
their FIRST reaction to ANYTHING they oppose is, "kill!" and that reaction is apparently, NOT confined to just the islamic fanatics...it appears to be the reaction of the vast majority of muslims, world-wide.

and, BEFORE you left wing loons rant and rave...i am NOT commenting on the wisdom of the church...and, i am not trying to justify bad behavior with more bad behavior...
however, HOW many bibles have the muslims burned? how many muslim countries can still arrest and jail you for OWNING a bible? and HOW many death threats do you recall hearing of from those?

there is something fundamentally wrong with the teachings of the so-called "religion of peace" that has their entire population calling for the death of a .... cartoonist!

someone explain to me, why is it the left wing loons can ignore THAT, but can't ignore a bad interview by sarah palin?

While I agree that many followers of Islam are haters of Christians, Jews or other religions and have perpetrated acts of violence in a multitude of ways, I disagree with this show of burning the Quran. I just frankly don't see that it is going to do anything except stir up more hatred. They would likely make more of a lasting impact by having an open prayer service for God to intervene in our country's (and her people's) future.

All for it, then lets go for those bibles, nothing has dumbed down the people of America more than that book. Hell let's just burn all religious books, that's the American thing to do.

Are you not better then the that? Why waste your time? Is this what you show your children? Stay away from the mosque and go to your church and pray and witness to others about the goodness of God and not the silliness of man.

The peaceful religion of Islam. If a few people burn their book, they want to kill everybody in the nation.

""We know this is not just the decision of a church. It is the decision of the president and the entire United States," said Abdul Shakoor"

So, to apply Abdul's judgement to Muslims, all muslims ARE accountable for the actions of a few...

that has been tried. extending a hand in peace, cooperation and understanding has ALWAYS been met with arrogance and closeminded hatred for all things non-muslim...

ya know what would be a GREAT step forward towards peace and understanding...

Okay if this group is making threats against our President and our country, they should be charged accordingly. Religious or not they should be held accountable and charged according to the law.
Why are our laws not being enforced?

I don't know, Carey. How many bibles have been burned by Muslims? How many countries can still arrest you for owning a bible? I'm really curious, Carey, so please...do answer. Enquiring minds want to know. Personally, I think you're just spewing more right-wing lies, liar.

that way, jim, you'll ALWAYS remember i was NOT spewing lies.
of course, that would require you to abandon your myopic hatred of all things you don't understand...
IF you choose the intelligent option (and i have serious doubts you will), might i suggest, google.
