Wow! The FBI (Federal Bikinni Inspectors) can travel a 4,000 mile round trip to arrest some Somoan bigshot (an American citizen),(what did this guy do? Bring a US Government paid for pen home, in his pocket, by mistake, after work?) while they don't have the money needed, nor the time, to arrest illegal aliens who are roaming the streets of "mainland" America. GO FBI! GO F-B-I! GO FBI!

the gov't has been corrupt for many, many years. they need to conduct these investigations more often so the people in samoa can have trustworthy leaders who lead by example. with continuous investigations by the fbi, i believe leaders in samoa gov't will be forced to be honest in their dealings, which is what all their campaign slogans preach. its sad that this happened but what is more sad is when leaders cheat who they lead--the people of Samoa.

FYI.. The FBI opened an office in American Samoa several years ago to investigate the on going theft problem that plagues the Island. Unfortunately the rich get richer and the poor... well they just have to work harder and longer to make ends meet. This has been something we have waited for and I for one am SOOO happy and only hope that it sticks. They are looking at many "issues" so maybe this won't be the last!!!!!!!!!!

The whole world is watching now. Okay, he's innocent until proven guilty but, the FBI would not bust in on him like that if they didn't have all the evidence to prove how guilty he is. Guess we'll all have to wait until the 22nd of October and see what the district court have to say. I want to believe that he's not stealing from the federal funds that is intended for his own people. It's a shame when you are voted in by the very people you steal from that you were suppose to help!!! I think this is 3 strikes now....you're outta here!! First, Fofo, then Tauese and now Aitofele. C'mon family...get your act together.

I am very saddened to hear about this. I thought highly of Aitofele and his wife Peta. I am Genesis Sunia's ex-mother in law, she was married to my son Damien. Although the Sunia's did help to steal my grandson, Imesei Aitofele Tomeo from my son and our family four years ago, I wish them no ill will. I have not seen my grandson in four years. I get a peak at him now and then on line when the Sunia's post photos. I would have thought Aitofele's law degree would have been enough to afford his family a good life style. I'm hoping that the allegations are untrue. Even if they are not, we are extended family and I stand behind Aitofele and Peta. I pray for them and my grandson, and I dream of the day I will see Imesei again. God bless the Sunia's, pray, pray, pray. Tanya Tomeo

Once a crook always a crook. Let's see the Sunias don't seem to stay away from troubles. And you think they learn something when their older brother Fofo was incarcerated in the Capital, from creating phony dead clients to embezzle monies from the government. This time Aitofele and his wife got red handed with their hands in the cookie jar. May i remind you that every penny that the Federal Government authorized for the Samoan Government has to be accounted for. The money belongs to the American taxpayers. Aitofele needs to be put behind bars and throw away the key. Hopefully this time you will think twice.

I am very relieved that this arrested finally happened. The American Samoa gov't is long cortupted and been need attention. The gov't leaders need to put more attention for the betterment of all samoan people not just thier families. This incident should be an open call for those gov't official to do the moral thing. We should help one another. whatever he did which led to his arrest, he need to learn from it and for others to pay more attention to the poeple. Of-course when it comes to voting times they should come to your house & ask for your vote afterwards its like you dont exist. Our gov't is, indeed, in need of medical, educational, economical, and social attention. those are the very important areas people should focus on rather than what happen or why? Please poeple wake up & smell the coffee america is giving the gov't money to fund the roads, schools, hospital and yet i dont see any fruits of that labor...so whats wrong with the gov't? lack of money & great opportunities>>>>

Lt.Sunia togethre with Sen.Lamyuen were investigated by the FBI in regards to the $750,000.00 contract for the public schools in Am.Samoa, the Lt. Gov. was released on a $50,000.00 bail, Lam yuen turned himself in when he got word of this misconduct with grants given to Am.Samoa by the U.S, he was in L.A during that time. Uncle Sam will come for our tax money when it is used for ones own good instead of what it was given for....the U.S is not your personnel bank, you hear.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Pisces

Family, friends and in-laws are all hard to please. It is better to please yourself for once, dear Pisces, than to bang your head against a wall. You need to relax and get in touch with your own feelings. Do not hesitate to speak up for someone you care about. Someone may try to curtail your freedom. Set them straight and do not give in.
