Actually in reality France/British/Soviet empires have acheived much in the past 100 years. They defeated nazism and faced up to Nazism in 1939
America of course was sitting on the fence making profits. For YEARS, in both conflicts. In WW11 aiding Hitler. Thats the nice view! Or did'nt want to get involved because of cowardess. Thats the other view. Japon finally pushed "brave", "freeloading" America off the fence.(still profiteering) to "help" in the defeat of nazism. Following this with a massive defeat in Vietnam. However, I know America WON again'st tiny Grenada.
I suggest you have no idea about what a complete idiot you are. So STFU about things you know nothing about!!!
Ignorance is truly bliss for many Americans. LOL
You obviously have some intelligence & education but you have stopped short of the full facts. FIRST, the Brits & SOVIETS would NOT have defeated the Germans without the US industrial might. FRANCE had already surrendered & was occupied by the Hun in less than a year after Poland lost. The Maginoit line was a pacifist joke & delusion.
Then there was the FACT that the Soviets were Allies of the Krauts when the war started which you didn't mention. The Soviets only helped defeat Nazism because they had to defend themselves.
You mention America making profits. Of course! Making profits with the lend-lease act & also supplying equipment to Great Britian AND the USSR, NOT Hitler because America was officially neutral even tho not factually neutral.
You also mention Japon (Japan) pushing the US into the war. Thank goodness for the world.
An example of the US industrial might that affected the war is that at the time is that Japan had 25 fleet carriers at the start of the war & the US had 5. The Saratoga, Wasp, Enterprise, Hornet & the Ranger. At wars end Japan had 5 total & the US had 22, plus Escort carriers & 11 more fleet carriers in the procurement/building stage. PLUS numerous Battleships.
As far as Vietnam, Congress lost thet war when N.Vietnam violated the Paris Accords & invaded the South but Congress did NOT supply the assistance that they had promised in the same accords.
I could go on but there is a limit as to how many characters can be posted. But now I add that YOU can STFU. Historically, France is milatarily a pu$$y country. They helped the Colonies in the late 1700's because they hated England. NOT because they loved the U.S.

Your forgetting the US used Napoleonic Tactics during the civil war. Without these military tactics the war might have been won by the confederates.

BOTH sides used simular tactics. They also used British tactics, Revalutionary war tactics & new tactics such as steam propulsion,'iron ships' IE: the Monitor & Merrimac. Then there is the 1st use of rifled cannons & the Gatling Gun (which was invented by an ethicnally Frenchman)
Then there's the 1st use of breech loading weapons (Colt, Remington & Winchester)
Then still there was the industrial might of the North to produce the needs of war.
AND if the South won, Slavery would have existed decades longer if not into the 20th century.
So what is your lame point??

get out of this Afghanistan and stop to commit there crime against humanity. Let those Afhghans live in peace in their country, stop to irritate them and attack them, fu.. off. They are indigenous people of their soil, they have right to live free on their soild and they are not a cannon fodder because some degenerates from very stupid countries of cranky madmen and degenerate decadents want to play neohitlerite invasions. It is really unpardonable crime and all those militaries and politicians who are responsible for this crime against humanity must be treid and impeached. War crimes cannot just go by. And this aggresion against Afghans must be stopped.

what can you all morons imagine about wars? It seems that it is a merry subject to make jokes of all kinds and all those cranky medman and decadents and war criminals who rule presently imagine just wars in this kind-like a joke. Wars are not joke. There aretousends of people most of all children, women and young men including boys and teenagers who were murdered by nato and ussmen, there are milionas of people who lost their families, their freedom, their mental and physical health, who suffered from hunger, who die of hunger and diseases and it is just this war. And in what way did all those young insurgents offend that they are massacred in conveyor-belt system there? This war is crime against humanity of the worst kind - it is aimed in really very poor nation, and why? Why to persecute these people?

Two C-27 military upport aircafts for our US troops when US liberal Democrat Congressmen led by pelosi gets five time more sophisticated aircrafts to travel foor their political agenda? Clearly, this is a tiny step forward to provide our US troops with some equipment and supplies that they could not get under Obama’s deal with Russia. However, that is not enough for supporting victory of our brave US troops over the Taliban Islamic terrorists when our US troops are outnumbered and unequipped under Obama policies.
The bush is the one responsible for our under equipped troops, he sent most of the equipment to Iraq.

Sadly, we were suckered by the neocons as well, and by stupidly believing that Bush and his masters had a plan, which they did, but it involved wiping out the Taliban quickly to get the gas pipeline from the Caspian Basin pumping, then swinging into Iraq for a quick victory, getting the oil flowing fast, then hitting Syria and Iran before anyone else had a chance to blink.

It's all in the PNAC mein Kampf, "Rebuilding Americas Defenses", and the still classified notes from Cheney's "Energy Taskforce", from when they planned their invasion of Afgasistan back in 1997, once the Taliban had told them "Thanks, but no thanks.." concerning the running of the gas pipeline through their Dark Ages Kingdom of Insolence.

As the neocons have been wrong about absolutely everything, except the vast amounts of money their pals in the oil and arms industry would earn, it's refreshing to see that President Obama is not paying them much attention.

The Fascist do love a good war. President Obama has not made his decision regarding troop levels in Afganisnam, I believe he will add more troops and hope that I am wrong.

Actual quote: "Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

You are quoting Obama's book like you read it. It seems that reading a half-assed abridged version by a right wing loonie site is all you have done.

Do your homework on your own.

I don't know you or Vance but from what I am reading, Vance is much more literate & open minded than you.
YOU start by stating; "you are quoting Obama's book like you read it." Which means that you agree & have given Vances words validity & THEN you argue about it. YOUR thinking (for what it is) is very shallow.
YOU also resort to name calling which indicates the weakness of your argument, vocabulary & IQ.
I see that you can operate a keyboard (or are you dictating to someone ??) BUT Have you graduated from crayons & chalk yet?

No, shallow is not being able to understand sarcasm, which in this case, is you buddy.

Name calling is a test for a vocabulary, IQ and weakness of the argument? Well, considering that I have not called Vance anything. I did made a reference to the source he used as unreliable and biased. While you are jumping a gun :

with ad hominem, I would consider your own litmus test for intelligence and label you at best as dim witted.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Capricorn

You'll have difficulty finding equilibrium in your emotional life at the moment; try to control the impulsive side of your character. At work, your usual powers of intuition will be clouded. Fits of feverishness may bother you and break down your energy. If you can get out into the countryside for a walk, you'll feel much better.
