The article list Uzbekistan as prosecuting against Christianity. What a lie, nothing but pure anti Muslim propaganda.

Here is the truth, in Uzbekistan and like many other countries the religious activities is licensed and under supervision of the government. The reason is to avoid extremism.

Uzbekistan clamped down on Muslim more than Christians for unlicensed practices. THAT IS THE TRUTH AND PERSONALLY WITNESSED.

Mudslinging article from extremist, let people believe in their religion rather than pointing fingers at each other, Christianity and Islam has been here for thousand of years.

Minority twisted individuals do not represent Islam, even though they claim to to do so, same goes for recent story of a Norway Christian he does not represent entire Christianity.

Christian and Islam both have history of killing people in the name of religion. Read the history.

Just confirm this is real or propaganda-
Pakistan: 25 jailed for eating in public during Ramadan
There is no compulsion in religion (Qur'an 2:256), except when there is. This is the true face of Sharia, belying the benign mask that Islamic supremacists and the mainstream media are working assiduously to put on it in America and Europe. "Pak: 25 jailed for eating in public during Ramadan,"

A total of 25 non-Muslims were arrested and sent to jail in Pakistan's central Punjab province for eating in public during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The people were arrested in Faisalabad city this week for violating the Ehteram-e-Ramadan Ordinance, officials said.

The "truth" is that Uzbekistan, unlike many other countries, is a petty dictatorship that wants to control every facet of its citizen's private lives.

Satish,

Your name is Indian I assume. If so, PLEASE dont bother yourself in this conversation. In Hyderabad India, Hindu set ablaze children and women in the name of religion HINDU and the temple. Also, Hinduism cast system, within discriminate violently towards lower class, achoot cannot even touch brahmin.

Also a common sense is since it is a holy month and Muslim refrain from eating these clowns should not eat in public as a respect. Do you know, in Christian and Hindu community in Pakistan the restaurant is open during the day and no one bothers them, and far as being jailed they will be out in a day or two.

Why dont you go to a Jewish restaurant during Yum Kippur in Jerusalem and bring a Pig with you to eat, let see what hey will do to you. We must respect other religion. All religion is sacred to one's belief.

STOP THE HATE.

Well I may agree with you on this.

However, my point earlier was from the article, reporting expressed that Uzbekistan suppress only Christians, which is untrue they suppress all religion including Islam for unlicensed preaching. Matter of fact, if young Muslim grows beard, highly likely he will be questioned for extremism. These reporters never probably never set foot in the country, yet the are expert, and their flawed sourced material mostly comes from biased media.

Peace! Oh by the way you may not know this poster Albanese, he has been to the region many times and he tend to be very direct, and possibly he knew the article was flawed, also he is NOT a Muslim.

Yes, but even though it's officially designated as a secular and democratic republic, Uzbekistan still has an influential muslim majority.

When Islam Karimov became president in '89, restrictions on Islam were relaxed: many mosques were restored, and islamic literature became more available, according to MS Encarta.

Joe,

With all due respect, Uzbekistan is a Muslim country, and they are restoring long overdue history which includes mosques. The World heritage and UNESCO has finally recognized it.

I would certainly expect that from Uzbekistan where majority of population is Muslim. In America tons of church, because of huge Christian population. What do you think of Conservative party is in the USA, they are clearly influenced by the moderate to extremist Christians.

Heck, even the US constitution is based on GOD and the Currency, do you see that on Uzbek Cym (Currency) and the constitution? noop

Which certainly justifies this story's lead:

... even despite Uzbekistan's official "secular" status.

Psycho,

Let these people degrade all they want, and degrade ones belief, in this case for Muslim in their holiest month.

A religion is sacred and most important to ones heart, yet they keep pushing and when someone beat their A'ss then they cry like a baby and say extremism.

Hey Dirt Shoe, not only your shoes are dirty, it is also assumed your momma had something to do with our hygienic problem, she should of raised you well, you sick demented retard. Your name should be your " (your) "MOMMA under my dirty shoes". You scumbag.

Can I bring a Pig on Yom Kippur to your house than? How would you react?

Palestine- Humanitarian nightmare, no food for them all travel blocked by Israel, land grab, Humanitarian Ship full of food personnel killed by Israel forces. Not to mention ratio of people killed Jews/Arab are out of whack.

Last I checked Israel is mostly consist of Jewish people.

I am sure your religion does not teach all of this, but the people who are in charge of doing these heinous crimes are Jews.

Sad that you buy all the Anti-Zionist Anti-Israeli propaganda, if you wouldn't, you would have understand that is a pure lie. Gazan people have enough food and humanitarian needs. During the crisis in Egypt, Gaza people braught them food through tunnles. they have shopping malls and water park in Gaza. each day tons of foods are being delivered there. check your information better.

I wonder why tunnels, to bring food and medical supplies, they have been driven underground of all the crimes being committed on them.

Here are the few things to consider in response to your additional questions, why there are more fatalities of Palestinians than Jews? Israelis always use excessive force and United Nations and many nations voiced this many times over.
Here is an MSNBC article for you reading.

Have fun, oh, and pass Palestinians some food for Ramadan thru the tunnels.
