Chinese lash back on rights

China lashed out Thursday at a U.S. report critical of its human rights record, accusing Washington of causing the modern world's "biggest human rights tragedy" in Iraq and of hypocrisy for passing judgment on other nations.

Pretty sad when China is criticizing your human rights record.

Still, with the exception of mayve the Vatican, no state in the whole world has a good human rights record.

One possible difference between Chine and the U.S., is that China abuses its own people, while the U.S. abuses people abroad....I guess.

This is easy, just pull the U.S. out of the Summer Games. Until China meets the U.S. Standads for Human and Civil Rights. We could also either stop trade and or inpose tariffs. We could also set World Standards for Auto Emissions and make them meet those Standards, Backed by our large armed forces. We a Nation of 230 Million can tell a Nation of 1. however many Billion what to do. After all they have a draft and we do not. If you tell them you will not go in the Draft they just Shoot you. While we are at it we could make them stop Partial Birth Abortions. We have more people in prison then any other Country but per Capita Numbers is not the only way to measure that. Some Countrys have less people in Jail because the enforce their Death Penalty Laws. Wow! What a concept. It really should not take 12-15 years to carry out a sentence. That is what is unfair about the Death Penalty the Lack Of Enforcement. No reason you should not be gone well within a year.

when discussing this you should not be blind for your own shortcomings.
The Chines (and others) can have a point that a nation working for human rights and maintain capital punishment themselves cannot demand the highest degree of credibility.
think about it.....

Thank You Wal Mart! Human rights? what's that we need cheap Chinese labor for higher American profits we don't care if the Chinese uses child-slave labor keep on pumping out those tainted products and causing the price of gasoline to rise with your Chinese economy. The Chinese and India economies rise do to the fact U.S. companies have shipped millions of AMERICAN jobs to both of those countries and now the same crooks want to blame both countries for environmental and human rights bullshit. Superpower? Nuclear weapons? Who made them that way? The same crooked bastards who gave corporations tax breaks for outsourcing and offshoring, the American way(if you're a crooked ass traitor politician)!
The United(Divided)States of America better wake up and worry about it's own human rights violations. These crooks in government worry about people everywhere in the world, except in their own country. Nothing but greed and money,Katrina proved that fact! Instead of helping the victims by letting them rebuild their cities and towns the crooks import illegal aliens and other NON-Americans for cheap labor.

How can we talk about civil rights whenn we un leash mercenarys on civilians, legislate away workers rights, deny children adequate healthcare, hire companys to kick old people out of nursing homes to save money, tax the poor and middle class and let the rich avoid any taxes, provde aid to one party only while discriminating against the needy, and thn to top it all off we eliminate the Constitution and Bill of Rights here in the United States.

Current politicians should read the history books about what can happen to corrupt politicians.I especially liked the French way of doing things.

China is not utopia, but fortunately China has been moving in the direction toward better human rights and freedom at the very same time as the USA has been racing in the exact opposite direction.

Jack, please to not give up hope. Things are getting better all the time here.

Beijing's report cites FBI crime statistics released last fall showing that violent crime had increased by 1.9 percent from 2005 to 2006.

The Chinese report cites news articles saying that 30,000 people die in the U.S. from gunshots every year.

It notes the U.S. has the largest prison system in the world, with the highest inmates-to-population ratio and points to police brutality and other instances where law enforcement officials violated civil rights.

They are right ya know. And what race in the US has the highest incarceration rate in the US?

Black that's who.
