I did not believe the CCP would be sincere in this regard, CCP is putting on a show to the world but not really planning on doing anything substantively, after the Olympics there will be nothing from CCP regarding Tibet, what happened to Tibet at the hands of the Chinese is one of the saddest things to happen in the last century (if not longer).

LOL! Red China has all the guns, tanks and bayonets so why are they afraid of a Buddhist monk who preaches about compassion and non-violence? It shows how the CCP has not moral authority whatsoever! Chinese will get a bad reputation because of the violent nature of the CCP!

So far, China has an excellent track record. North Korea is dismantling their nuclear facility. China and Japan will jointly explore East China Sea. Direct flights between China and Taiwan had just started. As long as Dalai is sincere in the negotiation, I am sure something substantive will come out of these meetings.

I'm not aware he had slaves, many jobs thruout the world can feel like slavery, I have studied the Dalai Lama extensively and have never caught him in a lie, he is not a begger but just answers questions people have about him, Tibet, etc., he is the leader of his people so it is his duty to tell the world what happened to Tibet, the Tibetan people, their culture, etc. he is a world reknowned master of Mahayana Buddhism; he is the current manifestation of a tradition that goes back so far, he is a nobel peace prize winner, he has been awarded America's highest honor which was handed directly to him by George Bush--the leader of the free world, and the list goes on and on you instead should have the utmost sympathy and understanding for what happened to Tibet and the Tibetan people,

The freed Tibetan people do not need to be under a theocratic feudal government again. The Tibetan 'exiles' are people who ran the theocratic feudal government whioh sustained itself by taxing the Tibetan people to starvation; to cultural stagnation; to extreme poverty; to death. The taxing power these 'exiles' had and the results of their taxing power tantamounts to enslaving the whole Tibetan people. The Tibetan people were all slaves to the Dalai Lama theocratic feudal system.

The Dalai Lama, with the help of the CIA, has acted or has performed as a good 'actor', acting with good results by equilizing himself as a head of state by visiting other heads of states of foreign countries and by equilizing himself as a holy person by visiting the Pope. China should never allow any monk to grip power to run a government again. A monk's place is to pray and preach, but not to govern. Monastery and state should always be separated. Now that the Dalai Lama had claimed to be a head of state, he should never be allowed to return to the monastery in Lhasa.

The Dalai Lama is trying to equilize Tibet and Hong Kong in order to claim for the status of a SAR (speacial administrative region) of China, a proposal which could be a little more palatable to China. Hong Kong does not have a church-run government, while Tibet under the Dalai Lama rule had a theocratic feudal government which ENSLAVES its own people. The freed Tibetans have had enough of that shit. No move or the same shit.

Even if the ruling party of china is not ccp, real chinese will not accept the splittism of tibet.

some of Buddhist monks preaches about compassion and non-violence, but some do not.
if ccp is as half ruthless as the former KGB Putin, dalai should have been thallium poisoned for 50 years. chinese love their face too much, so the nonsensical reputation saves dalai, and still troubles chinese.

Chinese communists have made most Chinese citizens violent and intolerant against others (Tibetans, Uighurs)! It is so transparent. They even talk like the Commie government. Calling the Dalai 'a wolf with a human face and such'. And you guys want to host the Olympics? Do you think hosting the Olympics will not shine on your backward and primitive mindset of violence? Go ahead get more violent and see how the world reacts!

Hong Kong does not have a church-run government, while Tibet under the Dalai Lama rule had a theocratic feudal government which ENSLAVES its own people. The freed Tibetans have had enough of that shit. No move or the same shit. It was likely somewhat feudal around the few sizeable cities but otherwise it was not. Many Tibetans were nomads. Feudal is not so bad as long as the land owner is good-it depends on the landowner. This was their culture. This was also long ago. They liked their theocracy so should have been left alone. This was long ago and it would not be this way now no matter what---the feudal aspects would have changed also. Dalai just wants autonomy to return the last few years of his life, etc. The Vatican is a country and it works great. In general though I am not for theocracies either. Your slave references a westerner can never relate to and will always see as outrageous in regards to Tibet. This is likely a cultural difference or a language difference. When a westerner thinks of slavery we think of slaves in the fields working with crops and sweating in the hot sun. We think of slave drivers with whips whipping the slaves and yelling at them, etc. We think of slaves as people who are treated like animals who can be bought or sold, who can be beaten or even killed. This was not going on in Tibet. America has a history of true slavery-- You can hang onto the feudal language but a westerner with any knowlege of Tibet at all can not relate to your slavery language. I mean go ahead and keep using it but don't ever expect a westerner to relate to it--we will always see it as preposterous and outrageous. Change the language and you will get more westerners on board. You are not alone--I've heard other Chinese drone on about slavery in Tibet. A westerner will never be able to relate to your use of this language in regards to Tibet. The Tibetans love the Dalai Lama and were not happy to have their country invaded and conquered by China. China's invasion of Tibet was not an action of liberation.

Go ahead get more violent and see how the world reacts! 1.pls distinguish violent and military. 2.chinese love peace, but martial spirit is also a part of chinese, that is why chinese could keep the chinese civilization for 5000 years. these are nothing about ccp. 3.your 'violent and intolerant' is against armed traitors or separatists, not all tibetans and what Uighurs. 4.all chinese call the Dalai 'a wolf with a human face and such', china Gov. just voice people's thoughts. 5.hosting the Olympics is not equal to abandoning the state sovereignty and territorial integrity. Treat the violence dalai's group with violence method. Olympics is not only dalai's. dalai use the non-violence Olympics to achieve his purpose. 6.'Go ahead get more violent and see how the world reacts!' you'd better print this sentence on the wall of white house. Get more violent in iraq and afhan, or maybe iran in the future, see how the mid-east reacts! we have seen the reaction in 9.11.2001.
