You must have forgotten the 8-1/2 war Iran had with Iraq, when Iranian cities were flattened by Iraqi Scud missiles, Iraqi soldiers used mustard gas against Iranian soldiers -- also against Iraqi Kurds at Halabja, Iraq, and nearly a 1,000,000 people were killed. Everybody seems to have forgotten the Iran-Iraq War.

America intervenes in other nations affairs only if has been decreed by the UN or NATO and then only does so legally and with a coalition. Saddam did not abide by U.N.
