There, unfortunately, is no death penalty in Canada, nor will they extradite to any country with one. That's why California had to promise that they would not execute Charles Ng (another serial killer) or else Canada would not have sent him here for trial.
And as for the cost of the investigation, would you rather that the money wasn't spent? That the government should just say, oh well and give money to their families instead of trying to put this sick b****** in prison?
And yes, if 170 million had been spent in advance, we may not have the problem. And if cars hadn't been invented, we might not have pollution. And if someone had arrested OJ before he killed Nicole ... Hindsight is 20/20. It's easy to be the armchair quarterback, it is quite a different subject to be out there playing.
And if nothing else comes of this, maybe another sicko will see that these women were not uncared for and throwaway and will think twice about harming someone like them.
And as for the traffic cops with their dark sunglasses, they are doing what they are assigned to do. Don't ever fault a person for doing their job.
And we all need to help out to make a difference in our community. Not just the police. Not just the government. If you're looking for someone to blame for the problems in the world, just look in the mirror. Because if you're not part of the solution, you just might be part of the problem.

Just Plain Bill wrote: <quoted text> You got it, cousin! Prison inmates have their own code. This guy might just happen to fall down into some heavy machinery. Or "apparently take his own life," as a news report would say. If that were really the case we would be hearing a lot more about dead guys being carried out of prisons. This whole child molesters and baby killers getting justice from the inmates on the inside is just a myth. If one ends up dead it's because he pissed someone on the inside off.

Then judging us would make you a? That's right, hypocrite! And I'm glad that you have your beliefs but there is one heck of a lot of difference between telling a small lie and killing another person. jennifer b wrote: The way I see it, this man is no different than any other person with a bad habit. His is only worse because society says it's bad to kill someone, when in actuality, no sin is greater than another in Christian belief. So, why not wish the death penalty on theives and other people who break the law? Perhaps this man can't help himself, in which case he should be locked away, not killed. Any person who takes it upon themselves to say that this man deserves to die is committing a sin just as great by judging him. That is not your jobs, you hypocrites.

Please wait...
This guy is a psycho who should never see the light of day again. To give him a life sentence which makes him eligible for parole in 10 years makes a mockery of the justice system. A life sentence should be exactly that. When you murder other human beings like this animal did you should never ever be able to walk free with the rest of society. Are the lives of these women of less value because they were prostitutes?

What I could do to him with only some small hand tools, a length of rope, and some rubbing alcohol. Seriously.

A slo-o-o-o-o-w agonizing death would be appropriate for this cretin creep.
Then feed his remains to the pigs. He will then at last be of some good to the world.

Stew? Ahhh...yes. Here's an old recipe I got from a blogger Jeffrey D. in Milwaukee.
Ho Stew:
4-1/2 lbs Prostitute, chopped into 2" cubes 6 lg carrots peeled 2 large onions 4 stalks of celery, leaves included salt and pepper to taste
Add all ingredients to crock pot and set on medium heat for 4-6 hours. When ho meat is tender, correct seasonings once again and serve over a bed of egg noodles. Great meal for the family on those chill winter days.

Being eligible for parole and being paroled are 2 different matters. No parole board will ever allow this man to walk free again. You no longer have to worry that this particular serial killer will ever do harm to anyone.

I read the papers today and since I live in the area I suspect the covereage is more complete ... ALthough they would not say it openly in the news, reading between the lines I get the followiong interpretation : THe second degree murder is easier to "prove" because of the broader definition. There were questoins of the perpetrator's intellect and ability to "know what he was doing". There is also the consideration that others may have been invovled and let this guy take the fall... SO, rather than convict on first degree, which would probably be appealed, and if the appeal is successful go through another expensive trial and psosibly set him free .... they chose instead to convict on second degreee and hopefully ensure that an appeal is not granted. THe MINIMUM term without parole on each count is 10 years. TImes 6 means 60 years, by which time he would be 118 years old ... in other words, long dead.

Individual to individual, however, there can be jsut as much evil. The world's population is now 100 times what it was 500 years ago. The difference, I think, is that the news is much more thorough now than it was 50 years ago, and so we hear about more events from around the world than we used to, so it gives the illusion that it is on the rise.

you never know who your neighbor is.I think death penalty is the easy way out.if they still had the old methods of execution such as hanging and torture.maybe we would have less violence
