Gov. Bill Richardson surely stepped in it when he proclaimed the border safer. Ditto to our local loco heroes. Clearly. lets get the fence built without further self serving interference; a real government understands and fulfills public safety needs. El Paso has 4 fences, the rest of the county, state and nation surely deserve the same.

Man the fence with all the men available, get more and shut down this smuggling corridor.

Real commerce undergoes inspection at ports of entry, the fence only diverts the criminal commerce. Why oh why is their opposition to that?
Obviously only those benefiting from the criminal traffic will do everything they can to hold onto the "good old days" of the open border.

100% inspections should be implemented till total border security is recovered. If I wait 2-3 hours undergoing security rituals to board a domestic airliner, the foreign entries awaiting inspection can do the same. Lines can reach to CHINA; so what. Leave earlier and plan to wait your turn.

The PRIORITY of recovering full control of the entries into this country is required to increase public safety and NATIONAL SECURITY. The crime rate will plumat, our social system now bleeding from abuse can begin to recover.

It's time like never before, SUPPORT FULL LAW ENFORCEMENT. Get involved!

John Crook claimed on the news (KVIA)this morning that he goes there once a week.
Well likely he knows that the Mexicans won't bother to kidnap and hold him ransom because no one is going to pay money to get him back.

Good suggestions but we need politicians who haven't been bought off by the Mexican drug cartels in order for any of that to happen.

Just like our vehicles being stolen and driven right over to Mexico, they could easily enough check the vehicles heading over the Juarez to make sure they are owned and registered to the driver but they have no intention of protecting American citizens.

The border must be closed and legitimate ports better controlled, every vehicle going in either direction needs to be checked carefully.

You mean that American soldier with gang tattoos all over his body and a privately owned assault rifle in his vehicle?
He did have that stupid tattoo but I think he really didn't understand that all Mexican symbols including the Lady of Guadalupe are all drug gang symbols. Mexico is a drug gang nation, it's that simple.

If you think that rifle he had was some automatic assault rifle, you are very clueless about weapons. It was nothing but a rifle and a pistol he had in his vehicle, kind of standard for most Americans especially when travelling.

There is not a state that boarder Mexico that is not having the exact same problems and truoble. Unitl the Federal Government steps in and takes over will there be some kind of resolution. We have a mayor in Los Angeles, yes that 'we' elected, who is a gangster and has major ties to Mexico. He's getting just what he wants. He's even told the Federal Govn't that he will not allow ICE to do their job. We no longer make the word ILLEGAL mean a thing! WE NEED TO WAKE UP AND SEE WAHT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!!

Exactly. The La Raza mayor of LA is doing nothing to stop the killing of blacks living there because he is an anti-American racist. He intends to make LA a Mexican city, and riots in the high schools with Mexicans attacking black Americans are just one way to force the Americans to pack up and leave.

Hey Joe! Interesting just how LITTLE coverage of the riot there was HERE. It's like they are keeping it from us. This is so typical. Last laste years May Maddnes March on May 1st. My son is LAPD and you can't believe what he told us really happened! The police's hands are tied! Why? becuase of the mayor and the Chief of Police Bratton who's head is so far up Tony "the Villian" rear end that he's let his own men down. He is not like at all. They have confedense in him as a leader! Are you experiencing the same??

There will be more and more deaths in the future, not by me, so donīt get the wrong idea but those are the rumors that people talk about down here. It will get much much worse before more troops are sent up here.

I think you're right. Leaving the borders wide open only helps make the situation grow worse.

Most of the killings have been undercover DEA agents and Delta Force personel. I just hope their families don't start crying again all over the news again like they did last time. This isn't some dumb Arab nation , you go into Mexico, your gona get spanked.

The violence will probably not spill over into the u.s. There is no need for that to happen, the drug dealers and cops have no beef witht he u.s. But with all of these idiots running around down here, armed and ready for action..A STRAY BULLET HAS NO BORDER...in my opinion, thatīs the only way there will be u.s. fatalities.

I believe the violence will (already has) spilled over the border because as there is no enforcement of it and now Mexicans are coming over trying to get asylum here while nothing stops whoever might be out to get them from following them over.

As the violence escalates, more Mexicans including those participating in it will choose to move their families and themselves over to the USA where they figure the American taxpayers can be further gouged to provide them safety.

Many of the injured are coming over to Thomason hospital where the medical care is free, in their own hospitals, they'd have to pay something for their care. Police running from Mexico are coming here, but the drug cartels won't have much trouble finding them here.

Until there is border enforcement, Mexicans will not see their future must be Mexico, and they'll do very little about the mess they've created there. Like always, they'll figure on having the people of the USA come bail them out, or that Americans will be required to go die fighting their battles for them.

Imagine if all the good patriotic Mexicans both in Mexico and in the USA were to decide to fight for their country and it's freedom. Or are there really not enough of that kind to win it?

John Cook would never, ever do anything that might be "offensive to Mexico". Thats why he and all these other idiot politicos in El Paso "stand" against the fence.
Yeah. All the mayor's fault again. You're pathetic. Get a life and stop spending it all online. Go sling sum gunz in Juarez.
