A new study, led by Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen, Norway, suggests a wom a n's menstrual cycle affects the severity of respiratory symptoms.

This is an interesting study, the more we know about possible asthma triggers, the better we can manage the disease.

As a male with asthma, I have no idea to what extent asthma affects women during their menstrual cycle and whether or not they knew about it.

This study certainly would help make women more aware that their asthma symptoms could possibly be triggered by their menstrual cycle. For information on asthma visit:
