News article affecting Sabah and Sarawak:

Status of North Borneo in Malaysia

Many groups who appeared before us displayed great anxiety that North Borneo should be adequately represented in the Federal Parliament and that, in this and in other respects, she should not be treated as equivalent in status to one of the States in the present Federation of Malaya, for example,Penang or Malacca. The point was made that North Borneo's size alone justified special treatment and that the much greater distance between the Borneo territories and Kuala Lumpur also had a bearing on the matter. A number of persons expressed the view that the new Federation should consist of five units-- the Federation of Malaya, Singapore,Sarawak, Brunei and North Borneo-- and not 15 units as would be the case if the Federation of Malaya disappeared as such, and was regarded as 11 separate States which would each join the new Federation on equal terms with 'the four units. The reason for this attitude was clearly a fear that North Borneo's interests might be overlooked or given too little weight.

Either way, Sabahan natives and Sabahan Filipinos have no choice now that, as was said in the article (foreigners) are now the majority and been in the electoral rolls for several decades. If these people will be deported back their country of origin, the United Nations have no choice but to review the status of Sabah when it was included in the new nation Malaysia.

Deporting Filipinos and Indonesians, where they've been in Sabah for almost half century is a dumb move on the part of Sabah politicians crying about the RCI and its term of reference.

'These politicians must have been Chinese or Chinese operatives(DPA's) from Taiwan and mainland China who already became powerful and entrenched themselves in the economy and politics of Sabah and also in neighboring Sarawak.'

It is a move that is going nowhere. Sabah should concentrate on what they got and use these human capital for the benefit of Sabah and its people.

There's nothing more the people in Sabah could do now that there are lots of legal and illegal people who live in SAbah. If these people were deported to their country of origin, illegal Sabah occupier Malaysia will be condemned by the international community because of her treatment of these people.

Sabahans and Sarawakians should ask the government on how Sabah and Sarawak became the 12th and 13th states of the Federation of Malaya.

This is not right. Sabah and Sarawak joined the new nation Malaysia as independent country and so as Singapore(gone) and the Federation of Malaya but how on earth did they became the 12th and 13th states?

This is wrong.

Absolutely wrong.

Yes. Sabah should be returned to the heirs of Sulu Sultanate and or to the Sultan of Sulu and Sabah.

Sabah Filipinos, natives and others should unite for the common good of the people of Sabah.

Filipinos in Sabah are not foreigners in their own land.

Until illegal Sabah occupier Malaysia sits down with the heirs of the Sulu Sultanate to discuss the Sabah claim, this illegal immigrant issue cannot be resolve and continue to haunt Malaysia. Filipinos in Sabah are not illegal immigrant in their own land.

The government should freely and openly discuss this Sabah claim in the parliament. Right now majority of people in illegal Malaysia do not know about the Sabah claim.

He also pointed out that since the 1980s, there have been many Sabahans from the grassroots to community and political leaders who had expressed concern on the issue.

“We’ve even had various books written on the issue, notably the ones by MD Mutalib and legal testimonies that were given.

“This is a real and serious issue that affects the lives of genuine Sabah citizens and it may now have already seeped into Peninsular Malaysia.

“Legalising illegal immigrants is a matter of national security… It has tarnished our electoral rolls and threatened our future generations.

“This is the reason why Upko has persistently pushed for the setting up of a RCI to investigate the existence of ‘Projek IC’ as well as the extraordinary population increase in Sabah,” he said.

If you're concerned with national security, why is it that the RCI is needed only in Sabah? There are lots of illegal immigrants in peninsular Malaya and Sarawak.

Is this because the prime movers of these are the Chinese and other political parties who have self interests in Sabah and Sarawak?

That the Sabah claim might jeopardize their grand design in eventually colonizing the whole Borneo island? There are Malay people who are misguided by the actions of some. Instead of concentrating on why SAbah and SArawak were treated as if they are one of the States of the Federation of Malaya, some people pushed for the setting up of RCI where the problem can be solved by the police and the immigration department. These immigrants are already in the electoral rolls and voted a few times in the elections.

Questioning the authority of the ones who gave these people permission to stay in Malaysia is like not recognizing Malaysia.

It is therefore reasonable to declare independence from Malaysia.
