Of course it would be. Quick Invasion, Quick Annex, then partition the country into three 4 states. One for each the UK, China, USA and Russia to sell weapons to. Perfect.

Let me see, China promotes the idea of a political solution whereas the USA and their lapdogs are foaming at the mouth because they can't come up with a excuse to join in the slaughter but are happily backing foreign terrorists with weapons and safe havens.

Wait, let me get this straight...West is backing al-Qaeda terrorist to overthrow the Syrian government, so they can see up another Taliban-style Afghanistan? Remember bin Laden?

Sounds about right to me exept that the Americans have had a change of heart and the terrorist group that they were backing is no longer in their good books, presumably because they wanted to go in their own direction, so maybe that makes these terrorists the 'good guys' now. Whatever! Interestingly the Americans have not come up with a replacement terrorist group to stand in as the rebel (terrorist) government so one has to wonder if it is a role that the USA have picked out for themselves or whether they are just waiting to see who wins the leadership race (prescripted farce) in the USA.

Do you guys even read the articles?? Read again as you have misinterpreted the whole thing. But then again no matter what the US comes up with you will put your own spin on it so it would not matter and Assad will still be the hero in your minds. China's proposal has merit and may work but that would depend on trusting Assad to leave which as we all know means he must get more weapons to show how much he believes in leaving.

I do not disagree with you, they must also round up all Islamic Extremists as well, then the Rebels will be able to form a solid government.

Assad isn't a hero, he's a politician for heavens sake! The guys who are trying to replace him are not going to be any better than him if Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan serve as examples, and stand a fair chance of being worse but at best they are still politicians in a grab for power. However, Assad is the leader of a nation who is defending his government and his country against terrorism that is being sponsored by foreign countries. Isn't that what a country's military is for - to counter such threats or do you think it should be used just in pre-emptive attacks on nations halfway round the planet?

Notice how the west only wants to take down foreign governments which are secular.

But support and promote neo-facist elements like hardcore islamists.

Iran perhaps being the only exception for the west.

Wow. Yesterday you said the F22 was useless compared to a chinese aircraft which only exists in model form.

Today you're calling the taliban secular.

You post mostly nonsense, just for the sake of posting.

I stick by my argument about the F-22.

And when did I say the taliban was secular.

The west could have cared less about the Taliban's atrocities and dictatorial rule. Had 9/11 not stung America in the rear end.

I was pointing out the west's hypocrisy.

Why does the west not put similar pressure on Saudi Arabia?

Which does not have any democracy at all. It is a dark age theorocratic state where the ruling elite govern with autocratic powers.

Why no calls for freedom and democracy here?

You still claim the f22 is a less effective aircraft than one which doesn't even exist?

Wow.
