Jealousy? Don't think so. Look at what kids in that Islamic bastion of hate wear. I watched a speech given in Tehran by Ahmadinejad and a kid two rows back was wearing a Phillies jersey.

World Domination and Military all feed into Foreign policy. This nations unending meddling in internal affairs and sticking our noses where it doesn't belong is the single item that pizzes other societies off. Jealousy??? At the top of the list? You gotta be kidding. I agree with you Nailman, totally. Foreign Policies are the biggest problems. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." There isn't much left of our country to be jealous of. No jobs, huge debts, out of control health costs, out of control assaults on personal freedoms, no morals, taxed to death and wondering WHY would someone be jealous of that?

jealousy is at the top, most likely because thats what alot of Americans think the problem is.

I think jealously, military might, freedom, economic propserity, etc. all play into it. Think about it.....this is a nation of immigrants -- immigrants that have come together and built a far richer and stronger society than the ones of their native countries. Of course those countries are going to be envious.

Sure, there may be some nations who frown upon our foreign policy decisions, but many of those countries have no room to talk themselves on that issue.

The list is endless, overthrowing democratic governments and creating & supporting despotic regimes to take their place, lots of not so smart bombs going astray & killing innocents, poverty creating agricultural subsidies, unfair trade practices, lying to your allies and the world, having one of the worst legal systems in the democratic world, it just goes on and on.

Millions of people have died as a direct result of US foreign policy, and Americans don’t give a damn, people in foreign countries know that you don’t give a damn because you don’t do anything about your governments actions.

I have nothing against Americans myself, it has just always surprised me when Americans ask “why do they hate us” perhaps the USA should be renamed the United States of Amnesia.

Your foreign policy decisions sometimes astound me. A report saying ALL CLEAR and NO INTENTION OF STARTING, obviously means to Americans ALL OUT WAR!!

We went to Iraq as well you might say. Yes I agree we shouldnt have gone but the problem was Tony Blair was the boot boy for Bush.'If we hadn't gone, we would have lost "solid" relations with the USA and could have lost supplies of oil and they might have counted us as enemies'.

Why do most people immigrate to the U.S., freedom and civil rights.
