I imagine that in the future there will be thousands of potential memorial sites to those who help overthrow the tyranny.

Raze it and then tell the real story of Ojeda who lead a group of people who believed in ambush, bombings and destruction because they did not agree with the system of government that 90 plus percent of the people of Puerto Rico believe in! The Alcalde is a joke and Hormigueros should kick the joker out! Of course Ojeda's wife is going to say that the FBI shot first you should not expect anything different from a rabid infested individual. Can you imagine what these type of people would do against those they don't agree with if the island was independent? For those who do not know who the Ojeda and his group did and who they were trained by search! Ojeda was a Cuban agent and they were trained by the Cuban government!!!! Yeah, a bunch of patriotas!!! Que carajo le pasa al alcalde de Hormigueros?

Mayagüez' Guillito, Sila's favorite.
What can we say, that hasn't been said already?
This "whiner" of a mayor, was crying over his city's lack of funds for the Central American and Caribbean Olimpics.
Then, he turns around and spends over $100,000 dls. to take a huge "comparsa de alcahuetes" to N.Y.'s Puerto Rican Day Parade.
Now he wants a museum.
Hey! José Guillermo (aka. Guillito) where are you going to get the money? How are you going to maintain it?
You, populares, depend on that "mogolla" with the independentistas to win a few seats (in the legislature). That's your newly found, patriotic fervor.
It all boils down to POWER. POLITICAL POWER.

It is not the alcalde de Mayaguez, but the dummy in Hormigueros that wants to set up a museum!! Ojeda was a criminal and should be treated in death the same way! Los Boricuas no deben aceptar algo como esto! Let us suppose that the PR police would had gone in and killed Ojeda, what then? The Macheteros were violent and they knew that if they did not fight it would be a long sentence. Do you think Ojeda was a nice kid? It is a shame that Ojeda claimed my poor town as his hide out and many covered for him. Ojeda was a Cuban agent and they were trained by them. Raze the place over and forget it...no museum with tax money, but then many Populares are pandering to the left, violent groups to gain favor.

In Puerto Rico they are called "alcalde," or "alcaldesa." "Mayor" is a word from middle English as derived from the Latin 'major.'

I might be incorrect about this, but I have never seen on the door of the official office called anything but the Spanish "Alcalde" in Puerto Rico. Of course, I haven't been to the door of every Alcalde's office in Puerto Rico.

Have you ever seen the word 'mayor' on the office door of an Alcalde in Puerto Rico?

You asked me what I meant ("Huh?") and I told you. You don't like the answer but seem not to be able to answer MY question of you. Typical.

An Alcalde is an "authority on Puerto Rico." I'm a citizen only.

Semantics often separate clear communication from 'sloppy,' unclear communication.
