We don't need a new immigration bill.
We have immigration laws that are equitable, just, and work well... if they are enforced.
That's all we need.... enforcement.
Detain, deport, illegals.
Arrest, convict, and imprison those that aid, abet and employ illegals.
Simple, effective, and easy.
We need a new immigration law and I'll explain you why. That law from 1986 should have been enforced right away. Instead only a part of it was actually put in place. The illegals got their papers but then nothing was done to stop the new ones from coming in. It's the fault of the government for not doing so and now the situation is out of control and there is a huge need for a new immigration reform. Simply applying the existing law and deporting 11+ million is not a practical solution. The ones who hate hispanics don't look at the implications.

Typical liberal ignorance thinking because a law isn't being enforced that we need more laws, that undoubtedly won't be enforced either.

Any reform should always start with enforcement. Until the present laws are enforced, and the borders secured, new laws will be just as ineffective as what we have now.

Democrats have demonstrated beyond questioning that they cannot be trusted to secure the border, just as they promised in 1986 that there would never be another amnesty.

Republicans playing games with people's minds and lives. Very INHUMANE and CRUEL!!! They keep stalling everything in blatant disrespect to the Ruling party. This is so disgusting, actually it stinks. Would you believe these are the people who want people to vote them back in to power. Throw away your rocky hearts and try putting on the shoes others are forced to wear.

ILLEGALS .. playing games with citizens livelihoods and taxpayer money. No one forced them to wear their shoes sneaking across the border. They can just buy new nikes with their EBT cards and sneak the hell home.

I'm not ignorant at all. I said exactly what you said. Once a law is passed it needs to be enforced otherwise it becomes outdated.

They're known to be more entrepreneurial? Wait til they get a load of starting a business legally, paying employees legally, dealing with the IRS, paying taxes endlessly, paying an accountant to figure out the tax laws so they don't end up getting audited, paying for unemployment benefits taxes, multiple forms of insurance and carrying a whole lot of liability in the event that something goes wrong or one of their employees sues them for who knows what?

Welcome to doing business legally in America. The CBO is always wrong.

The immigration law that you want the House to pass in a hurry has no enforcement in it and no reform in it.

It has no real border security in it, just mumbled promises for more security.

It does nothing to people breaking labor laws, it does nothing against people who hire illegally, it does nothing for those who are here and choose to remain illegal.

It has no teeth and it won't change a thing. 1986 redux with even more pages of empty, unfulfillable promises. And it will only encourage even more of the same.

Your'e not seeing the big picture. When Obamacare starts, Illegals supposedly do no get any. That means the employers do not have to pay for them and don't pay a fine. Do you not see that it is more beneficial for the employer to hire only Illegals and let American workers go? They would have to pay for their insurance. This Bill may be good for the Illegals but not American Citizens.

That's why they need to be legalized so that employer cannot take advantage of that.
