Joe Highley wrote: <quoted text>HOW IS HYDROGEN MADE? Since hydrogen doesn't exist on earth as a gas, we must separate it from other elements. We can separate hydrogen atoms from water, biomass, or natural gas molecules. The two most common methods for producing hydrogen are steam reforming and electrolysis (water splitting). Scientists have even discovered that some algae and bacteria give off hydrogen. Steam reforming is currently the least expensive method of producing hydrogen and accounts for about 95 percent of the hydrogen produced in the United States. It is used in industries to separate hydrogen atoms from carbon atoms in methane(CH4). Because methane is a fossil fuel, the process of steam reforming results in greenhouse gas emissions that are linked with global warming. Electrolysis is a process that splits hydrogen from water. It results in no emissions but it is currently a very expensive process. New technologies are being developed all the time. Hydrogen can be produced at large central facilities or at small plants for local use. Every region of the country (and the world) has some resource that can be used to make hydrogen. Its flexibility is one of its main advantages. Thanks but I was hoping the spammer “We USA Are Morons” Could understand this. I have explained previously on this thread that I support hydrogen as a fuel, America needs to build more nuclear plants and spend billions repairing a dilapidated Grid for this to be viable. You should of started with the 70's oil crisis but it's never to late.

People dont want one in their backyard. To bad so sad. As to spam you didnt even nor will even look at those videos I posted. You cant accept a new idea that the Japanese might have just come out with a car that can run on tap water alone. How close minded you are. So your the genius tell us what are we going to run our cars on when gas is 10 dollars a gallon like it is in England now. Why dont you check out this website. http://www.haw-system.jp/English/indexE.html I am emailing them. I think they might just be ligit. You however dont even believe its possible. That would make occupying Iraq look like an elementary school football game.

F*** OPEC!!! If they want to play games we can blow Saudi Arabia and Iran off the map and take all of their oil. How about that? We shouldn't be buying oil from these worthless scum anyway.

Hmmm, interesting. I wonder if ExxonMobil has developed ways to run oil rigs on top of highly radioactive glass. I'm sure they are working on it... Still, Iran only pumps 4 million barrels/day. They have 'peaked', and production declines every year. The U.S. needs 13 million barrels/day of imported oil, so we still need to nuke 9 million barrels/day worth. Hmmm, that's about what Saudi Arabia pumps... I wonder if anyone in the rest of the world (the 6.3 billion *non-Americans*) would complain at all... they seem kind of timid.

Your small mind cant comprehend that we might jsut be behind in Technology. So email them and ask for proof. Iam. I doubt you will. Please read sum basic physics, yes it seems that the Japanese have improved on the efficacy of hydrogen engine but it still requires Hydrogen gas, to produce this you need an energy source. Nuclear seems the only option that is capable of producing enough Hydrogen. I have seen cars that run on compressed air it’s the same deal you must put energy into compressing the air, this has to come from the grid. Plug in electric cars seem a better option as there have far less moving parts, These are not liked by the car companies as a great deal of there profit comes from servicing and selling things like oil air and fuel filters this will be the same with hydrogen fueled cars. The plug in electric can also gain efficiencies like the hybrid electrics of today that move energy from braking back to the batteries and drive system. I will not waste more of my time on this and this whole conversation is concerning me in regards to the state of the education system in America this is year 8 stuff and the most basic physics. You need to stop putting America scientists down, look to Silicon Valley. http://www.youtube.com/watch...
