The head of the army's general staff, General Goranco Koteski, said that conscription could boost Macedonia's security but defence minister Fatmir Besimi rejected the idea of reintroducing non-professional soldiers.

BTW for a small country the Republic of Macedonia has contributed over 10 times the amount of troops to the Afgan NATO mission vs Greece's contributions...see NATO's easily accessable information on per capita by country contributions to missions.

Who really cares about who has more or less troops? Military is a burden on the economy of countries who btw have their hands tied in the first place. Also it's for people who pray for destruction. Maybe someday people will realize the most successful countries have found ways to use their brains not only to subdue the short tempered people but also turn them into their slaves. For the Greeks it's already a reality but the rest of us still have a slim chance to work together and overcome the chains.
