Brigitte Bardot On Trial For Muslim Slur

French former film star Brigitte Bardot went on trial on Tuesday for insulting Muslims, the fifth time she has faced the charge of "inciting racial hatred" over her controversial remarks about Islam and its followers.

Prosecutors asked that the Paris court hand the 73-year-old former sex symbol a two-month suspended prison sentence and fine her 15,000 euros ($23,760) for saying the Muslim community was "destroying our country and imposing its acts".

She is against the muslims slaughtering sheep and being brow beaten by the muslims and constantly giving in to them in her own country, well I know how you feel Brigitte dear! But if you say anything about it then you will be fined or imprisoned. What did all our people die for in Europe's long wars, if it was not for free speach and freedom of expression?

Well if she said the same comment about a christian i doubt she would be in court.Her comment did not sound hateful but it's her opinion, are we not entitled to give one anymore. How about the muslims that call others dogs and I hate you, and I want to kill you. You know little thngs like that. You do not see them in court being held accountable for their racial, religous slurs, they are hypcrites at its root form.

WOW--- So, in Paris, its a crime to "offend" muslims.

I find that even harder to believe than the insanity of these muslims in the first place.

One can oly imagine what more havoc these crazy muslims can do to this world. But making the "offense" of muslims a punishable crime is even a bigger crime.

Wow, you're an idiot! You have no idea what you're talking about; Muslims don't worship a black stone. They worship 'Allah' the equivalent of our God, and they make a pilgrimage to the 'black rock' because it's a piece of one of their oldest places of worship. For the record, I do think that BB has the right to say whatever she wants. She shouldn't have been fined and should not spend one second in prison for it. I don't necessarily agree with what she said, even though I'm not overly fond the the Mustlim culture myself.

I think most people except moslems and the PC liberal wimps will support Bardot. She is right! They ARE destroying the French way of life, and the British, American and whole European way of life. In England a jury would acquit here at once. Also, as Islam is a religion, how come she is charged with "racial hatred"? what "race" is a moslem? The French don't want to "incite" the Muslims primarily because muslims are the large minority in most major French cities.

The French prevent Muslims riots by placating them, for now. So in the french point of view it's easier to fine and arrest and prosecute a frenchmen than to possibly upset a Muslims?

This is the French way of preventing Terrorism.

Well it is NOT the muslims that are putting her on trial. Not once but several times she has in fact been put on trial by the French courts, and has been fined several times too, and they are only enforcing laws that were passed by FRENCH politicians, God save us all from politicians, but sadly the same thing is happening all over the world now.

Sorry Pan, but I they think they hate ALL of the planet (except fellow Muslims). Wanna live? Convert to Islam. I think the fundamentalists are just plain crazy but if a loved one was killed, hate would be too conservative. BUT, it does feel weird to say hate.
