The Anglican Bishop of Liverpool has been appointed as the head of a panel to oversee the release of files on the 1989 Hillsborough football disaster, in which 96 Liverpool fans were crushed to death and many more injured.

It was a real tragedy for Liverpool. 96 Scousers died. This meant 960 less benefits claimaints, which in turn meant 1920 less benefits officers were needed to process those claims. Which created 3840 new benefits claimants.

News like this is always sad. From what I read, it didn't have to end this way had there been better (or more thoughtful)planning.
