Tickets??

I am visiting Amsterdam the weekend of the Ajax v VVV game and would like to purchase 2 tickets....does any1 know the best way to do this? Would i get tickets at the stadium on the day as it is not a big game? Or should i buy them online at a more expensive price?

interesting that you should mention that... i'm going to be in amsterdam in late march and want to catch the ajax-heerenveen match (at heerenveen), but i've had no luck in figuring out how to manage advance tix (the club's site is in dutch only). any thoughts on this would be most welcome!

Unfortunately for most matches (if not all) you need to be a clubcard/seasoncard/supporter card holder. You request these cards to Ajax filling in a form that you have to send by post.

Once you got your card (a club card costs 6 euros and its valid for 5 years) you can go to a ticketbox sale point (a lot of tobacco or lottery "winkels" are also ticketbox sale points, look for a sticker or banner outside the shop) and buy your ticket for the match. There is also a maximum number of tickets you can buy depending on the type of card you have.
