Why should the negotiations be discontinued just because Ivanov, Gruevski and their government are refusing to recognise the identity of the Yugoslavs and Albanians in FYROM but instead portray them as Macedonians?

Since the fake identity that Ivanov, Gruevski and Co are trying to invent is disputed by 369 academics, the disrespect for the ethnic identity of the people of FYROM by the FYROM government is an issue they should take up with the academia. Perhaps they should organise a rewriting of the books in the world's libraries to take into consideration that the history of the Yugoslavs and Albanians is the same as the history of the Macedonians. Important boomks such as Arrian's, Plutarch's, Polybius' and others will have to be rewritten and of course many archaelogical monuments will have to be either destroyed or made new with Yugoslav and Albanian inscriptions on them.

Fyromians are talking for the Macedonian identity if it was theirs. This is the problem. Stop negotiations. The solution is coming out of the exable of the Gordian Knot. Alexander the Great has shown the way.

From MIC - FYROM ( http://micnews.com.mk/node/24214
): "Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki had a phone conversation with Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially stated. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon reiterated that he personally, as well as the entire Organization of the United Nations, firmly believes that the national characteristics of any country should not change and that the language of any people, the Macedonian language in this particular case, should be respected. " Whether the UN Secretary Genral said or did not say that, what MakNews claims is like saying that if the Tanzanians decide to call their language Andalucian, this should be respected. Should they not ask the Andalucians first if they mind? From the point of view of the Macedonians, if the Macedonian language should be respected, and as it has been Greek for as long as one can speak of Macedonians, what is the language of FYROM going to be? The right of self determination should be universal not reserved only for Gruevski, Milososki, Ivanov and their following. Is anyone going to ask the Macedonians if they mind giving the name "Macedonian" to an unrelated language of another country? |

I think Mak news is just trying to sugar coat stuff after people have threatned to do a hunger strike. however no matter what they do.. the UN has made up it's mind. |

It is simple but they do not get it. Why don't they try to use a name like Venice and print maps in schoolbooks with a Venetian Empire ruled from Skopje? Do they think thery will get a different reaction from Italy? How stuck up these people and those who elect them can be? |

So many greek citizens come to Macedonia to shop because they will go hungry if they dont.
The greek busses are being refered to as gypsy caravans, the hungry greek citizens crossing the border to find some food. And yet greeks are acusing Macedonia of being hungry, ironic isnt it! |

Uh, Now I think you are over exagerrating a bit...don't you think? There are cheap super markets in Greece. Besides that people who live in the North..grow their own veggies and have live animals they can kill and eat. Besides that from what I have seen on tv..they send stuff over to their children who live in the city like Athens. |

What you are you pin on others. We cross the border all the time to the U.S. to shop, and visa versa, does this mean we are starving. ILLITERATE. |

How true, you should tell that to the greek who think Macedonians are starving.
From the gypsy caravans with greek numberplates I see in Bitola and Gevgelija, carrying bread, milk, and other food, one wonders what is happening south of the border.

If you feel Greeks are gypsies, be selective, and sell your products to ARISTOCATS. Take care of your own affairs, by criticizing Greece, a member of EU and Nato, that you desperately want to join, will not place your statelet in a favourable position, believe me. http://waz.euobserver.com/887/30658 You are still Bulgarians, with Serbian element, face it. |

p.s. YOU HAVE FAR TOO MUCH TO SAY FOR AN INSIGNIFICANT NEW CREATION OF A STATELET. STOP WITH THE DEFAMATION OF GREECE. STOP. NOT IN YOUR FAVOUR.
