SolarWorld in shock Opel offer
German solar energy company SolarWorld said on Wednesday it was prepared to acquire cash-strapped carmaker Opel's plants in Germany, but analysts dismissed the plan as unrealistic.

What am I missing on this one. Is it really just the plants they want, or to they really want to make alternative energy vehicles?

I am trying to figure that out also. Hopefully it will start the new phase of auto's running on something else besides oil. Thanks a bunch.
