It's really true. I'm in China right now. Everyone that passes by smiles and asks how I am doing today and where I'm from.

There are two possibilities here. One of them is that Mr Xi has gone into protective hiding before the transition of power takes place. This would be a good precautionary move to make certain that everything goes smoothly and without a hitch.

That's a nice theory. Here's the problem with that theory. It doesn't make sense. Even granting the secrecy of Beijing, it still doesn't make sense. Investments are on the line. Consumer and producer trust is on the line. The trade world is in waiting and there is nothing but the sound of silence.

No take your logical little Asian minds, and figure out if 1+1=3. Because if it doesn't, then the only thing to do would be to cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.
