Tar Sands: Poisoning Earth and Canada's Good Name

Feb 15, 2013 Full story: Common Dreams 145

On Sunday tens of thousands are set to converge on the White House in what organizers are promoting as "the largest climate rally in U.S. history." The protesters will be calling on Barack Obama to reject the Keystone XL pipeline.

Dear American enviro-tards. There are already pipelines going from Canada to the US. What the pipelines can't handle is being shipped by train.
A train that is NOT only creating pollution/emissions, but has every risk of an accident that a pipeline has.

The only thing putting the kibosh on Keystone XL will accomplish is making sure a 1%er doesn't lose any of his train business, while keeping the price higher than if shipped via pipeline.

Because those a-holes would then have to admit that they were wrong, and that's one thing you'll rarely see an environmentalist left-tard admit to.

My screeen name is an homage to late authour, Douglas Adams. A man who left a big influence on me when I was 13.
It's also a play on words of my favourite beverage from my drinking days.
I have been using this screen name for over a decade, for game sites, forum sites, tech sites, social sites and I see no reason to change it now.
Take a look at my first post on this thread. See anything even remotely anti-semtic about it?
You've seen many of my posts Paul. You know I'm not a racist nor an anti-semite.
Besides, just because someone uses a normal name on here doesn't mean that's their actual name. My screen name could be Mitchell Parker but you still wouldn't know if that was my real name or not.

The oil sands are just the latest boogeyman of the month for the eco-idiots.The list of destroyers of the world in BC include loggers, fishfarms and miners.Shut them all down and we have another two million people on welfare. This pack of stoned hippy burn outs have nothing better to do with their time than protest, wether the reasons are based on truth or not.Nothing gets things stirred up like a good lie.I have an idea, give the area around the tar sands a cutesy name, that always works to gain world wide sympathy. It worked for the eco-fools that named The Great Bear Rainforest which did not exist 10 years ago.

Actually, what I find funny, and not haha funny, is no one seemed to have much of a problem with the oil sands during 12 years of further expansion and exploitation permitted by the Liberals. Hell, the oil sands were the greatest thing for Canada since sliced bread.
Then suddenly in 2005, everything was different. The oil sands were a "disgrace" and an "embarrassment" to Canada.
Now, what could have happened in 2005 that would suddenly cause the left to do a complete 180 on the oil sands. Hmmmmm, what could it be?

You're the typical leftist, when your hollow argument falls on it's face after being confronted with logic, your only recourse is to pull out either a racist or bigot strawman. Did you report yourself for stupidity, fool? <-o

Perhaps the Alberta oil sands does pollute and tar Canada's good name. So what? Money talks and bullshit walks in this world. Without money you are no more important or worthy than a pimple on someone's ass. I quote Tony Montona from the Scarface movie. Al Pacino sure got old.

"First you get the money, then you get the power. When you get the power, then you get the women."

The reason why a lot of people save money in Alberta and Saskatchewan is they know money will fulfill your goals and dreams. A left enviro nutbar province like BC is almost completely opposite to the above quote because they are mentally, culturally incapable of making money and saving even if you shoved a few billion dollars up BC ass and stick on a butt plug to keep it in place. Everyone, every political party in charge of BC is always incapable, it is the DNA culture. It can't be cured.
